"Infamy! Infamy! They've all got it in for me!" Got to be one of the greatest comedy lines even spoken on the Silver Screen.

I discovered Kenneth Williams when I was a teenager. I loved him to bits, and he was hilarious 😂 I did write to the BBC studios to ask if he had a fan club, but sadly, he didn't. I did receive a letter and signed photos from Kenneth, and that made my day 😁 such a sad loss 😔

I am coming up to my 64th birthday and i was fortunate to live through most of the carry on era. I loved the movies and still do. Kenneth Williams was one of my favourite members of the team, a great entertainer and a unique talent.

Old Yank chick here ~ Can't believe it took so long to discover this lovely cast, more than anything else. It began with Kenneth's book. Such touching stories, long before the Carry On franchise began, too. Fwiw, I've been to the UK several times and truly regret not having moved there. And I don't have a naive view. Fine people - and I mean ones from many places. Cheers and blessings from across the water.

One of the greatest comedic actors this country has ever produced and I absolutely loved his work. I saw him once walking arm in arm with his mother Louisa near Russell Square Tube Station but was too afraid to go up to them. An opportunity lost but hey ho he may have been rotten to me. I miss his uniqueness so much.

11:15 Absolutely brilliant and so endearing. 💫 Though aware he was never honored as such, I respectfully submit that Williams should've been awarded a CBE. Rest in paradise, Sir Kenneth... from the heart of this American fan. 🇬🇧🌍🌊🌿🏆👑🩵

Struck by the bit at 16:30, describing Kenneth's 'test' re: hand holding, was touching. Am old, so it reminds me of life's brevity and how we claim love and decency reflected in a single anecdote. Hope that this mini-documentary is seen by many.

Kenneth had such command within group conversation, it may have come across as rude, but with such academic knowledge coupled with lightening quick humour, no one seemed to mind. The waves of applause from the audience was his reward.

@@blazingskull65 No I did not know that, how cool! I'd love one of those. A citizen Camembert and a captain Fearless would also be neat too, ha! I'll have to give a look see. Cheers for that, Blazing Skull. Rob.👍

@@blazingskull65 😂 I just had a look and it's brilliant! $99.99 though... Ohhhh Matron! I don't know if that's U. S. or AUD, but it's tempting. That's Amazon but I could search about for hopefully a cheaper one. Great detail and looks just like our dear Ken!

To bad he was born out of his time. I think that was the problem. Today he would be much happier, find he would be more accepted. To bad he didn't know the British public accepted him and loved him. He is as funny now as he was then. Wish there were recording of his dramatic works.

Weirdly his role as Caesar in Carry On Cleo almost mirrored his actual life story, he plays a man who was born with a gift, has a great power over people but lives in constant mortal fear of being dethroned (his anxiety over popularity or relevance), his first line in the movie "oo I do feel queer" (take that as you will) to his last line after his colleagues (troubles) conspire (mount up) to finally take him down "oh what's the use?" (his last line in his diary was "oh what's the bloody point"), I'm of course reading way too much into it but I still find the comparisons interesting
