They k*lled off Doc since his voice actor died. There were many reasons why they cast that specific actor for the role so they felt like he couldn't be replaced so they decided that Doc died with him.

I dont understand why people say the Spy Thriller thing is out of left field. Literally all James Bond movies after Dr No are 50% "JB using his gadget-filled car to do spy shenanigans". Making the spy car _BE_ the spy in the Cars Universe was a no brainer...

17:58 In the context of the movie this scene is very disturbing they’re essentially watching the equivalent of an open heart surgery in the cars universe (in the first movie when Lightning’s fans flash him their headlights are implied to be nipples hence under the hood is the “ribcage”) This also implies that matter just has his ribcage on display 24/7

I’m glad you like this movie, honestly is my favorite from the fandom. I feel it’s underrated because people feel the spy plot is unrealistic but I found it interesting and even if it was unrealistic it’s a movie about sentient talking cars 😂 lighten up a bit people.

That title deserves to be a reply to that Flynn Rider meme. The crab boat is voiced by one of the captains from the Discovery Channel show "Deadliest Catch." The character is modeled after his ship. Finn McMissile is an Aston-Martin DB.5, aka every James Bond car ever. Professor Zündapp is a Zündapp Janus, a 3-seat microcar designed to compete with other microcars like the BMW Isetta due to material shortages in the postwar rebuilding of West Germany. They weren't popular due to their small size, cramped quarters, and underpowered engines, and were only made from 1957-1958.

People who criticize Sir Axelrod as a main villain claim that he could just make it big in the alternative fuel business. Allinol was nothing more than specially engineered gasoline. Sir Axelrod only marketed Allinol as alternative fuel for the scheme.

I don't dislike this movie, but I do think the choice of basically making Mater a main character was a little weird. I feel like if they wanted to go that route, it would've been better to just have that plot & do a Mater movie. I would've been so happy with that and this movie would've felt a lot more connected. He's good in his comic relief bubble & I think having so much of him threw a lot of people off

Nah this is the worst Cars movie. This is what I thought was the worst Pixar movie for a long time. Until a worse one came out. Toy Story 4. Won't get into why I hate both these films as it would take pretty much all of 2025. But trust me, This one is NOT better than the first one.

I don't think it's the worst animated movie, but it is definitely my least favorite Cars movie. Particularly because of the spy stuff and the miscommunication between Lightning and Mater during the race in Tokyo.
