Looks like your railroad is coming along nicely. I opened up all the way west to Andrews and my freight demand doubled. You get freight coming in and leaving both east and west. Once I get the proper power in place it should run smoothly. Eventually when expand east to Sylva I agree with you. I will need the signal system to keep the main line running efficiently. It does take a lot longer to go through 1 day in the game now but I'm enjoying it. I'm on day 35 with almost 300 hours played so far. I'm very familiar with your area. I'm originally from DuQuoin Ill. I believe your in or near St. Louis. Been there many times. Have a good day.

I just purchased the first phase of Red Marble Grade. Any pointers on the interchange at Andrews? Like, do both interchanges get filled up? Or does one fill up while the remaining cars go to the other? I need to know what I'm signing up for.

@@09JDCTrainManthe incoming traffic is split between both. I personally checked off Andrew’s so everything comes through Sylva. Hope that helps.

West of St Louis, Du Quion and I’m up near Decatur. All the railroads running through the area must’ve infected us! Lol

When you want to set or release handbrake on cars, or bleed the brakes, just click on the car, go to car screen and push button to release or apply the hand brake. Don't have to find the little wheel in the dark. When you apply or release, the wheel will turn by itself!

IDK... I think it's just good Practice to talk to the Ai just for if you get to play with others, your already in the habit of vocalizing the commands/instructions. Communication is very important.

I was never a fan of yard switching but do like local/way freights.

Been playing this for a few weeks now. On Day 30, jumped up to all diesels pretty quick. Only complaint is the audio on them. So much nicer not having to fuel them every day. Might suggest running the Robinson Gap as a unit train. Leave the oddball cut for a different unit to pull. Got 4 Geeps running my coal unit trains and it’s great! By the way, if you cancel or downgrade a contract, you pay a penalty. It’ll list it when you choose the option to do it but you can reverse the decision up until midnight iirc.

8:10, yes you are correct, it's how you'd like to do your work. As we were tough, many years ago, keep your work close. I didn't know you could put the walkway down and the chains up when you MU them. Safety, third, ride the cars all you want, it's just pixels.

I’ve been experimenting with the full railroad in sandbox and it’s quite doable single player if you just service the big industries. Tannery, paper, lumber, coal, copper & paper. There’s still the odd team track car but not a lot of fiddling. (Silva still takes some fiddling) It’s fun though. Each industry has cars coming & going from each interchange.

If you mean hiding the UI that's Ctrl-P. Check the guide for all the game controls. There's an icon in the upper right
