Americans can’t get the help that they need because the Government doesn’t care and is too busy helping others outside of America(Our Country)Others can come into our country and live free while our poor veterans and others suffer it’s not right and yes a lot of Americans are paying taxes or has paid taxes at one time or another. This shouldn’t be Tolerated or even allowed in our Country.

And unfortunately this is where most of the violence is coming from in Memphis. 3000 students homeless and embarrassed. That’s hard on a child in school, kids are cruel they make fun of you. So, they just stop going at all and start doing what? Exactly robbing and killing, desperation will make any of us do things we couldn’t even imagine ourselves doing to survive 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

I was one of those Students only thing is I went to juvenile first and was given an opportunity to go to Job Corp. Juvenile was not my fault believe it or not. It was my mom (my mom was young and didn't know any better) who got me in trouble and I continued the behavior. Thank God for Job Corp. It taught me a lot of modern things to survive and etiquettes that I would not have learn at home for societal purposes. I was also in other programs that enlightened me to those extra things and I looked forward to them as well because there were others my age and color that attended and it be came interesting. I hope Memphis start programs like that if they haven't for lost children trying to adapt in a society that can be diabolical at times. Job Corp has housing programs for students so hopefully Memphis would put more money into that program to help homeless or lost young adults.

the government needs to step in and restrict landlords from breaching their own contracts or start a Tax threshold for renters only or something there is hardly no legislation in the home owning business beside the basic concept everything is taxed so why not tax them or hit them with a notion fee if they mention increasing the rent it’s clearly a violation of contract they need a penalty or a set back that will force them to look at their homes for what they’re actually worth

When there's not a return for you to buy your house in the city you live in, you're basically working like a slave for your city either your city wants you to have a house or they don't. And when you find out in your brain that you cannot have a house in your own city, that's when you really wake up and know for a fact you got to move because this is not the spot

Thank you for sharing this. I will definitely be looking into helping the nonprofits. We have to do our part to help our community, however we can. Homelessness is a terrible thing to endure, and it takes a lot of help from the people around you to pull you out of it. Thank you to the people building those homes. Now if only we can hold these landlords accountable for chasing profit over human decency. And raise the minimum wage for folks too. There's no sense in keeping wages the same while prices are inflating in every other part of our lives.

I get the feeling her old landlord had to sell his house because she stopped paying rent but wouldnt move out during the free rent moratorium of covid. Then they said her credit is bad so its confirmed she doesnt pay rent or bills. I feel bad for her landlord who had to house her for free while losing his house. She's got money to spend on her hair though. I dont feel bad for her at all. Go live with family or quit trying to take advantage of others.

This is so sad 😢 but maybe i don't understand where is their family such as sisters, brothers, aunts and uncles. Did they try to go stay with them temporarily until they could do better. I knew some may have reached their limits with family but not all. At least let your children go. You have to go of that pride and ask family for help😢 that's what we did with my sister. I know it got hard with my husband and her but we had to sit and talk about it. She did most of the work around the house for her pay for good measure. She wasn't making a whole lot of money but she finally found somewhere to stay after about a year

Shame on you America!...A lot of greed!
@98slp
@98slp Жыл бұрын
This is all caused by greed. The people who own the apartment building and homes to rent are so greedy that they make the rent so high that people working three jobs can't afford to live there. That's how they get people out of those places and then leave the building empty so there is no upkeep or repairs to pay for. They leave the building empty as the price goes up every year and they just sit back and collect all the profit. In the meantime American Citizens are homeless and living like this. The government has to put a stop to this greed. We are supposed to be the richest country in the world and that's how we got here. No empathy for their fellow citizens and just out and out greed is causing this. For god's sake, lets stop this crime against our own citizens.
