@@jhondoe1483 Ask the gun owners, rights are rights. Once they take one, they'll be back for more...
@fatninja9873 жыл бұрын
@@jhondoe1483 yes that's what the EPA labeled it as, and that is mostly what its about. If you actually read it though there is a small portion of it that says no road vehicles or road engines can be converted to race cars or race engines. This means that every motorsport like spec Miata, any road racing circuits, and things like drifting will all be no longer legal. They are already trying to fine and shut down companies making aftermarket engine parts and other parts, things like cams, pistons, rods, turbos, superchargers, coilovers, and everything else. It is not just exhaust companies and tuning companies. So yes, the EPA is doing medium and heavy duty engines, but they are also trying to stop our ability to have race cars converted from road cars. When you really think how this will affect the motorsport industry there will only be a few motorsports that can qualify with these standards, F1, Nascar, things like that, but no normal car guy has the kind of money to have custom tube chassis cars being made with engines that didn't come in a road vehicle. If the EPA gets this to pass it is going to kill all of the motorsports that matter to all the people who don't have a lifetime of savings to get into it.
@kirstenspencer36303 жыл бұрын
Ummmm? The EPA restrictions proposed was from a few years back when Republicans were runnin' the show. Da boyz rollin coal on hybreds and Teslas with cameras and car shows featuring " how to defeat emission control's and so on. We brought it on. Don't blame " liberals " as many liberals have muscle cars too. We need a united front to keep the lifetime burocratic actors at bay.

Due to the lack of mopar kit car options. I have decided I will build my own eventually. Schwartz performance offers a full length chassis upgrade for the 70-74 challenger. Combine that with a dynacorn replica steel body for a 70 challenger and whatever powerplant you desire and boom. Instantly you have a factory new challey that has better performance and road handling characteristics thanks to the schwartz chassis. Around $50-$75K and you come out with a better "factory" challenger than has ever been built. No donor so you get a special construction vin. Built not bought.

As awesome as a lot of those kits are, I fully agree that MRK IV is by far the sexiest kit on the market. I'm not even a Ford guy, but respect where respect is due!!! I have a feeling that Mr. Shelby knew exactly what he was doing. Traditional blue with white stripes!! 💙

A gazillion years ago I popped out of a pizza joint and there set a Shelby Cobra kit car. I put down my pizza to scope out this build. Great car, nothing about it said "I was once a VW". As I'm getting up and dusting myself off, over wanders this dude. "Did you touch it?" Well, no. Great kit car, did you build it yourself? (Dumb) kid. It's the real deal. Dang. Not the sort of thing you expect to run into in small town America circa 1975.

I have ridden in a Kit Cobra before it was really cool. it was a older gentleman and his battery died in the car and he needed a ride to walmart and he told me that if i gave him a ride to get a new battery for him he would give me ride in the car so he did it was awesome the thing ripped!! had a 302 ford engine in it with built heads and a high flow carb thing was sick was champane in color so kind of a gold metallic :)

I'd love to build a Caterham Seven. I see them on the road and they are tiny!

Don't expect a lot of love from the production car guys. They are very threatened by people who build their own. Define " babies ". Kudos though. Its a lot of fun

11:37 Lancia Stratos : 371cm - Ferrari / Dino V6 engine Austin Metro 6R4 : 366cm Fun fact : the engineer who worked on the V6 engine of this car has almost the same name than James... And the Mini Cooper S (305cm, not a specific rally car tho) has won the Monte Carlo rally in 1964.

Totally expected the Vaydor with a 2JZ swap to make this list. Thing's a beast!
