Oh man! My dad bought me a Honda Trail 70 when I was a kid back in the early 70s. It was my first motorized bike & I rode that little bike all over the woods where we lived in northern Arizona. I loved jumping it and all my friends wanted rides. I was king sh**! It was even that same color in the video. Great memories.

I love the 190 engine. It's prone to a few issues but super simple and cheap to work on and mod. With a 212 bore, 4 valve head and advanced timing it puts out 24+hp.

In my years of buying car parts and doing backyard repairs, I've never had a decent bolt on experience. For some reason, everything requires fitment customization. It's a real pain. But, I think you guys have a really good foundation for it. Now it's time to tidy things up and repair stuff.

Love your content. Ive never owned a chain breaker. As a retired forklift mechanic ive only done lift chains with an angle grinder and a punch. This philosophy transfered to my minibike world im in now. Not a bench grinder but an angle grinder...your bench grind method goes to new levels of burning fingers or chain getting caught between rest and wheel! Try angle grinder method. Use a paint pen to mark which link you want to go bye bye. Also for figuring out gearing for each bike i build i use cheap amazon chain then once i nail gearing then i put the good stuff GoPowerSports gold chain on at that length. My post is too long sorry about that gonna finish video now. Have fun guys!

I find on 420 chain I can just drill a 1/8 hole in some hardwood and just punch it through without grinding... I used to use a grinder but I found I had to use similar force with the punch compared to just punching it without grinding

Beatiful dax! The brake system always goes left on the front! this is to prevent brake power be to much on either side. Also the best way to warm an engine is to let it idle for about 15 to 30 minutes and then go for a drive to about half throttle while sometimes driving a bit faster or slower. This process minus the idling needs to be repeated for 500 kilometers if the cylinder is cast iron and 100 to 200 kilometers if the cylinder is aluminum. I also hear some blowback when you went for a little drive, be sure to check the valves to see if they are tuned correctly. Not only will this increasy the life span of the engine but also the performance and mileage.

Steering dampener. The reality is his suspension is not set up properly for his weight. Possibly to much preload. You shouldn't need a steering dampener on such a small bike doing such low speeds.

John don't forget to get an oil cooler for it these engines run super hot. I've got the same motor in my pit bike and it shreds! The motors can hit almost 100 with the right gearing. I got my motor on pitster pros website it came with everything needed for a swap from a harness, air filter, oil cooler, throttle and clutch cable ECT... For $641 they aren't to bad on gas either I thought it would eat through gas to also had to grind down the case on mine as well so I got a laugh out of that. Good looking bike otherwise I love it!

Here's a tip for installing springs, use a shoelace. Tie the lace in a 12" loop, hook the loop over the spring, stick a screwdriver through the loop to use as a handle and pull the spring into place. You may need a second set of hands to get the spring seated depending on how tight it is and if you need one or two hands to stretch it but it works amazingly well. And if worst comes to worst and you trap the lace under the spring, just cut it. The lace, not the spring.

Years ago, I bought a 155 high output but I put it on a chinese copy of a Honda Chaly. I added a supercharger and had a shop help me tune it. Also changed the gearing so it was a little bit of a dog at the start but she could cruise on the interstate no problem. In my state, at the time, we had motorcycle inspection. The bike was titled as a moped (originally was a 49cc) but I had a friend who was a dealer in another state and I sent him the title and he did his magic and sent me a title in his dealers name with the body change to an motorcycle. So then I changed the title back to me and took it for inspection. Man.... I would get pulled over ALL THE TIME on the interstate by state troopers. Telling me the bik wasn't safe for the highway and that it didn't belong. I would just basically tell them this, "I have a MC endorsement on my license, I am wearing a helmet, the bike insured, the bike is registered as a motorcycle, and it has a valid inspection sticker. I wasn't speeding and I was riding within the flow of traffic. So whats the issue here??". They would get so mad and let me go. A few years later I sold the bike but I still miss it. Four speed manual clutch!

Wider triple tree would allow you to clear the rotor, and just use a spacer (s) to center the wheel and a longer axle, problem solved. When we got it running it had less than 100 miles and since then I have put over 1000. Though the carburetor is still leaking. I have rebuilt it but it still just leaks.

When kick-starting a bike, you need to keep your knee bent. if you straight leg it as he did, if it backfires you re be sorry 4 sure!

I can tell he never looked in to the main problems with a 190cc like the clutch cable short and how to kick start them and why you should only use electric start he probably would have also did the shift star mod before riding it with a upgrade shift arm and put the oil cooler with electric fan and check the decomp spring. Also upgraded to a hd starter chain and grease it. Just a little tip to help anyone doing a 190cc engine hope this helps you.👍👌✌️💯

Watching this gives me such confidence with mine! I must have a similar front end, can’t seem the get the front wheel centered and the Speedo drive doesn’t appear to have a locator - nice to know it wasn’t just me struggling with the kit!!

There is sooooooo much shit Id love to go off about this kid but Im not a fan of internet trash talking BUT this kid is clueless. Hes been almost 100% focusing on the same type of work for 3-5+ years and from the numerous vids Ive watched doesnt seem to learned much of anything... He needs to be thanking Ike everyday that Ikes involved in his daddy supported show. Listen I like the channel and even both the guys but this kid is like so many out there, acts like he knows more than he does and when he doesnt keeps his answers or comments in the gray area. He needs Ike, Ike doesnt need him.... Sorry didnt mean to hijack your post with my long comment. Your the 1st comment Ive actually come across with a less than "suckin this kid off" reply...haha

Well if @The Monster Factory intended to come across as a toxic internet tard spouting complete rubbish, great job. As for the kickstarting, I was going to criticise him also, until I noticed there was nothing wrong with his kickstarting and the only problem was the typical brain dead recreational criticism by internet 'experts', aka mechanically inept couch potatoes. Then I realised I never had any intention of criticising the fictitious non issue in the first place.

Everyone of you missed my point... it was far less cynical. They go above and beyond relative to other KZbinrs in regards to liability. It’s seems like it wouldn’t be far fetched to think there was a lawyer in the family. Just a simple question because it seemed like the answer would have been interesting. Who the fucks cares how much they make if the content is good. I would love to see them buy a shop with a bit of property someday. Chill.

about the rearfender : if you make a spacer for the front bolt in between the fender and the frame and use a longer bolt that mount the rearfender and force/bend it slightly around the rear / top mount , the fender will be a little more centered over the wheel and you get more space between the rear lip and the tire , might need to redrill the holes to get them centered over the holes in the frame
