Trust me guys its worth cooking because I JUST made it and it’s super delicious. Also I added butter and cut the pumpkin to smaller pieces so it would bake faster🍜
@AKAJsChannel2 жыл бұрын
I think it’s a brilliant idea to cut the pumpkin in small pieces. I also use a peeler to remove the skin beforehand. The reason I don’t want to cool it down and reheat it again. I use the stick to smooth it.
I was taught how to make this and roast seeds when I was 9 back in primary school, I’m now nearly 23 and still make it every year, all my family love it

I made roasted pumpkin soup for the first time using your recipe and I must say that I am NOT disappointed! It was absolutely delicious and my husband said it was so good! 😅 I roasted the pumpkin in an air fryer for 20 minutes . Also added some mixed herbs (Thyme, oregano & basil) while frying the onions to make it even more extra 😊 Love love loved it! ❤

Nice video I liked the background music. Questioning one part, blending the cold pumpkin and serve it without heating it up again? I like hot food. If you don’t have a blender for the stock there is an option to use the purée stick. This can be used in the pot of stock and onions and pumpkin. Just use a bigger size from beginning. 😊

I would definitely reheat it after blending, that way the ingredients combine better

Anybody encounter a pumpkin with disappointing flavor? I made a soup with a medium white pumpkin we bought at a garden center and it had none of that delicious winter squash flavor. I used an orange Hubbard one time and that was really delicious. Saved the seeds for growing in the spring. I guess you can usually rely on butternut or acorn squash from the store but pumpkins can be inconsistent.

Thank you for this recipe, it looks delicious and very clearly explained. One question though, here in the UK the only fresh pumpkins I've tried to cook are the ones available during the Halloween period, they look quite different to the one in your video which more resembles a round version of a butternut squash, the ones I've tried have far less flesh and are more watery in texture. Are they the wrong variety to use for this recipe? Thank you x
@nymphcraft48545 жыл бұрын
Ladyfyre-Graphics Very late response but I just cooked this today and I’m from the UK. I got something called “squash variety” from Morrisons, which had a pile of squash including ones that looked like less attractive pumpkins. I believe it was a cooking pumpkin, and they say you can substitute pumpkins for most other squashes. Hope this helps.

You can actually make a darn good soup using solid packed pumpkin in a can. It has a nice flavor. I take 2 cans of pumpkin with a can of creamed soup and 2 cups of milk. Season with aromatic spices of the season like nutmeg, ginger, allspice cloves. Salt and pepper to taste. This is a nice recipe also. I have had some fresh pumpkins that lacked flavor. The canned is consistent.
