I have it in my 2020 Ford Escape SE in black. I learned it on my own just shortly after getting it back in mid March of this year. It was easy to do. I wasn’t sure how I did it at first. It was more advanced than my 2015 one. In that one had a 4 inch screen compared to the newbie which is a 8 inch screen. I used the back up camera on both in backing out.

Hi my iPhone is not connecting to my ford escape SE to display navigation on the screen. I did reset it and try it again with the usb charger but it’s not asking me if I want to allow it but on the car screen it’s displaying the agreement note as you showed. Before it was okay for a month then it diapered 😢my phone is new iPhone 15

I’m working on a video for this right now. Delete the phone connection from the vehicle and the vehicle connection from the phones Bluetooth. Then on your phone go to Settings -> General -> CarPlay. Click on your car, and then select “forget”. Reconnect over usb If that doesn’t work, you may have to replace the usb cable with a new one that supports data transfer. Make sure that you’re using the usb a port too!

Go for a USB-A cable and make sure it has data transfer support. Some 3rd party cables are strictly for charging, but other ones will have a data transfer icon on them that'll support either Android auto or Apple CarPlay

I just loved using Apple Car Play in my 2020 Ford Escape SE in black. I choose this one screen that I liked is pink and red screen in the dark mode. Even the Home Screen in dark mode also.

The keypad isn't standard in the Escape but it can be added in aftermarket.. just a bit pricey to do it

Issue with bluetooth or Android Auto? Check out this video on doing a soft reboot --> kzbin.info/www/bejne/epycn2dvl85qeac Other option is to remove the phone connection from the vehicle and the vehicle connection from the phone's bluetooth and then re-connect

When you use a USB stick it has support for MP3, WMA, WAV, AAC, and FLAC

You have to be connected via Android Auto in order for it to show up. The Ford Escape requires a wired USB connection for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay so just make sure that you're connected!

Oy that's an interesting scenario. You want to reset FordPass. Go to: Settings --> General Settings --> Reset --> FordPass Once you reset it will remove any cell phones connected through FordPass from the vehicle

So other than setting up the cruise control and safety driving features, the whole Ford flat screen is useless. Except a few radio settings. That's it. Everything else is Bling". Does nothing to make the care run or drive better.

@@mrscinhitt7255 It's all perspective, there are people that watch my videos at 2x speed and have no issues.. I've found that for some, setting the playback speed to 0.75x is the sweet spot. Give that a try.

Try using KZbin controls to make it easier for yourself. Playback speed at 0.75x, play/pause and rewind as necessary
