It's been a great vehicle. Only about three weeks on it (and still the first tank of gas half full). Since this is also my first Wrangler, there is some 'muscle memory' to build up to find controls safely when driving (including on the Uconnect panel). I am very much looking forward to warmer weather when I can remove the roof panels. Since we're in Ohio, that might not be until May or so. But thumbs up from me.@@CarsWithSteve

Three weeks on a tank is wild, are you driving much? The uConnect panel does take a bit to get used to but give the voice command prompt a try for climate, audio etc! Doors off is going to be great, any off-road adventures planned for the summer?

Level one takes about 14/15 hours from empty however I bought level 2 from Home Depot for $170 and it takes 1/12 to 2 hours to complete charge. I have the Willy’s 2024 with about 15000 miles on it now and as of yet it’s awesome and I must say electric off road is freaking crazy to much fun lol I would buy a fleet of these Jeep’s
@CarsWithSteve Жыл бұрын

@@CarsWithSteve yes we have and that’s what we liked about the e save besides being quite we don’t pack in extra fuel and the 21 miles range is more than that off road I believe it’s because of the slower speeds and if needed this thing is a rocket so on and off road it’s not a punk . However I wish I had a wrench
@Mymusickb Жыл бұрын
When you say you bought from Home Depot what does that mean exactly? lol My wife is looking at these and I know nothing about hybrids or EV's.
@88rushrocks Жыл бұрын
@@Mymusickb lol it’s our first one also. We bought the vevo charger from Home Depot website for $170 and it works perfectly but it must be plugged into a 220 outlet that we already had in our garage so no wiring for us . My wife drives on a average of 20 miles a day for work and we use no fuel we seldom use the hybrid mod it’s ether full electric or on the freeway the e save mode that actually charges the battery faster than others may say ? And yet it’s still the unlimited off road vehicle. Any other questions don’t hesitate to ask and if you can try to rent one for a week or two you may just be surprised

What is your MPG like? Do you actually get the 49mpg? And is the 49mpg constant or just for the first gallon. What I dont get is the jeep has a 17gal fuel tank and a max range of 370 so it comes out to 21mpg and Im confused how thats possible if its supposed to be 49

Haha that’s great and you’re welcome 🙏 Exciting about the Rubicon, what color did you go for? There are always little differences in Canada vs US builds. Most likely no power box up here because of a part availability thing or to keep the MSRP lower. When do you think you’ll have yours?

I'm no big expert, but having had a few 4X's, when using the 4-wheel drive shifter, it helps to have the vehicle moving a little when you shift the lever. Sometimes, the gears get hung up between the tranny and shifter and it's tough to shift. Having the vehicle move a little changes the gears' position and helps the shift. I just bought a new 2023 Wrangler Willys with the V-6 and base trim Uconnect4. We had a 2023 Grand Cherokee L with the Uconnect5 and didn't like it one bit. God help us with all this technology coming at us.

Some modes - 2WD to 4WD High are ok being done while driving or stopped but 4WD low should be when stopped. Good call on pointing out the availability to shift while driving though! The new screen is a bit of a pain until you get the hang of it. How are you liking the new Wrangler?

For acceleration having more wheels gripping makes sense but with that particular four-wheel-drive system, I think you’ll get a little better performance and 2 Wheel Dr. all around since it’s not spinning so much extra metal. It’s not a little dainty Quattro system.

I just got the Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4xe in Sergeant Green last week. This is my 5th Wrangler and first Hybrid..This video is great. Question, Why do you need to be in neutral to shift into 4-wheel drive? Isn't it shift on the fly like all the other Jeeps?
@CarsWithSteve5 ай бұрын
Great call on that green, it looks good in person! I think you're the first person who has commented on any of my Wrangler videos that has owned so many of them. How are you liking the hybrid so far compared to your last one? With the shifting... going between 2H and 4H can be done on the fly but a shift to 4L needs to be done with it in neutral. When I shot this video I was stopped when I made the shift to 4L which made it a bit challenging so it can be done stopped or at a low (1-3mph) speed
@DR-dx5zc5 ай бұрын
@@CarsWithSteve Gotcha, I didnt realize you were going into 4L. I do like the hybrid so far. Its my first jeep that has the cameras and screen and push start. how's the electric mileage handle winters? we live up in muskoka, about 15km from town. the idea of getting in to town and back without using gas is awesome, but there's only 5 km of buffer
