Nail would get unfused but bro had a 42,000 PL I doubt it would be that big of a difference. Also I don’t think Vegeta would use defusion technique since he would want to fight Piccolo at his strongest.

As bitter & petty as Vegeta can be, he usually gets over his ass-whoopings surprisingly fast. As soon as the new threat became Cell, Vegeta didn't care about 18 anymore. He also didn't pick a fight with Piccolo after the Namek saga, despite that Piccolo directly challenged him.

Yea like the above said there was a bigger and better challenge. The biggest threat at that point was Cell. Vegeta already proved he outclassed him without 18 absorbed. And while I can't say it definitively I think he also understood that Cell outclassed 18 by that point so he really didn't have anything to prove.

I used to think this to until I heard it argued that given Vegeta & Frieza's history, would it really be satisfying if Vegeta just beat down and effortlessly killed a Frieza that Goku had already tired out and beaten up? No Vegeta actually needs to defeat Frieza. Start of the fight, 2 of them fresh at 100% power, Vegeta wins and ends Frieza. That's what needs to happen. Vegeta just picking the bones after Goku wore Frieza out, that's not revenge for Vegeta, that's not him avenging his people and everything Frieza put Vegeta himself though, that's not a satisfying end to their story. Vegeta needs to defeat Frieza legit, not just pick the scraps Goku left for him.

@@freezingfire1800 Yeah, in the manga, he's able to reach Ultra Ego, the Destroyer's counterpart to Ultra Instinct, including hakai. He can't use a lot when he's first learning it, so he mainly uses it to Destroy rocks and then attack his opponent with the explosion that comes after.

actually it wouldn't make sense for goku to have been late for that fight since he specficly says he didn't bother teleporting because he knew someone strong(trunks) was there to deal with the situation. unless ofcourse vegeta was in fact strong enough to have deal with the situation without issue which nothing hints he would be able to do at that stage.

The last point about Dabura got me randomly thinking...Vegeta hasn't fought Gohan either since Gohan grew up. Hell, he hasn't fought Gohan since Gohan hit double digits in age; last time was the Saiyan Saga when he was 5. Which honestly just makes me want to see the older adult Gohan fight/spar with Vegeta. Their personalities and approach to strength is so stark in contrast but, with Gohan having some more drive (again) and Vegeta having more clarity and introspection in Super especially Moro arc and beyond, I feel like they would complement each other and make each other that much better.

A moment that stood out to me was right after Dabura killed Kibito . Goku charged at him and missed completely then Vegeta charged actually getting off a quick barrage of punches that were all blocked by Dabura. It almost made it seem as though hand to hand combat wise Vegeta was a better fighter then Goku at the time.

I have an idea for a What If. "What if Cell absorbed 18 first" my thought process is that if 18 was absorbed first, krillin would've probably blown up 17 because he dosent see him in the same way as 18. It would be interesting just getting rid of Cell immediately and seeing how the Z Fighters would manage to defeat Majin Buu without no one learning about ssj2
