Rob, I can't deny that this would benefit a reboot from the team in charge of Voltron on Netflix. That series was awesome from the two seasons and an upcoming third one, but I do wish this would get the green light for 80s cartoon reboots like the unfortunately cancelled CN Thundercats series. That one I wish would get picked up for distribution on Netflix as well as COPS. What would you think, aside from character designs, would be the best thing to fix with the series? For you, I already count more Bezerko episodes , maybe in the form of web shorts to promote the new reboot series, along some character arcs and leaning towards more crime themed episodes. Mostly I would like Lawrence Fishburne to voice the new Bullet Proof since Baldwin Vess already looks like him; a strong distinction between COPS teams; Miss Demeanor could use less forehead. SOunds fine to you?

My DVD of Cops had an ad./short of an 1950's Zombie eating people and blowing up cops with his guts/heart. Just think of all of angry parents who bought his DVD copy thinking it was kid friendly. It was first thing it load and can't skip it with the remote.

The difference between "C.O.P.S." and "COPS" is too subtle, especially as acronyms are frequently rendered in both forms in various versions of English and examples of both can be found for both shows, or "Cops" is enough to distinguish between the names. "CyberCOPS" is a mess because a number of markets post-1993 and the DVDs retained the original name.

If this ever gets a revive as a semi funny serious action show like Renegades or the DCEU it could work. If only to see a revamping of the character designs or new villains. Hell they could go the GI Joe Resolute route and have it be mature. Have the characters deal with dramatic stuff along with the awesome, like institutionalized corruption and sexism, or police brutality along with other heavy themes. Maybe examine the tension that comes with Cops from different states and departments, which all have their own traditions and methods, trying to work together on top of their own personal differences.

I can tell you this, there is so no way anyone can reboot this unless you want to intentionally piss people off. Like, there's no possible way someone would look at this cartoon through a modern lens and say "we can do this." It'd be time deaf given the current political climate. ACAB anyway, so, yeah.
