jjgbmw323 Your right you know, I worked as a mechanic for 12 - 14 yrs in Melbourne and my ex-bosses good mate had a bright orange 323I. They were a fairly good car stock to be honest, that little 3 series with the 2.3L 6 in it. They went better than the 202 VC I had at the time!!! LOL! But, yeah- this one's pretty nice, hey...

Daniel Brealey Nice work. I like that car. I built a 3.0 Liter stroker for my orange 78 323i using S50 crank and S50 rods with custom pistons. I shaved the bay and built some BBS RMs after I restored the car. Got to say I am glad you saved that car. Best wishes!

Nice car- really fucking is. One thing though, there has to be more than 6 323I's in Aust though. In Melbourne there is at least 5 or 6 I could tell them of. Just saying... I DID like his car though, tough as fuck. think he's playing down the 1/4 mile times slightly. I've got an R31 atm that has similar power at the wheels with the current turbo, it weighs more than his and only runs 235/60/15 MT's and runs mid tens on a run-in tune... the big difference is I suppose, mine is built as a street/strip car (like his, but a bit more strip) and runs a manualized auto with 5000rpm hi stall. At least he's not being a dreamer and telling everyone it'll be way faster than it is. Got a heap more respect for guys that play it down rather than play it up and bullshit
