It’s a great section. My favorite hike in this area was a snow hike to Grassy Ridge Bald 5 years ago. It was the most beautiful hike I’ve ever been on.

We’re talking right now about our next backpacking trip which is coming up soon. We also hope to do where she left off on the AT to Damascus and the MST from Waterrock to a Clingmans Dome. Plus she’ll get another LASH hopefully this year and share another few weeks of the AT on her channel.

We stayed at Station 19E hostel which is close to the end of our hike for the day. That morning I parked at the hostel, and they drove me up to Carvers Gap so I could walk back with her.
