When I came across your channel (about 4 years ago) I started to carve a walking stick I still haven't finished it !! 😅 Well between moving up the coast and relocating 2 twice due to leaking water pipes then doing my back in and walking with a walker for nearly a year which put my unpacking and sorting on the back burner for that year Then earlier this year we had the floods (2 within a month ) I am still sorting my stuff but difference is its flood damaged I was lucky my dremel was on the top self !! I hope to finish that walking stick after seeing this video Jordy !! 🤣

Hahaha...monster growls at the end..😄... You're right Jordy...a carved gift may be the simplest thing you've made but the receiver will cherish the effort and thought much more than a store bought trinket... Have an excellent day Jordy...🌿🌿🌿

One of my wife patients, in the senior folks home hand carved a punisher walking stick for me with a First Sergeant rank insignia on the other side when he found out I took a pretty good whack playing in a middle eastern sand box during the first phase of the ground war. He was a retired veteran also, and If I remember correctly, she told him that Walter Reed tried to repair me twice; but both surgeries failed, and they believed if they went in a 3rd time it would most likely make me even more sick, lame and lazy, cripple and crazy. So, I gave it a year to try and recover, but ultimately retired after 25 years of service; rated as a 90% service connected disabled veteran. That is why like I like to learn skills and projects like you cover on your channel; to work with what I have left; where I do not have to burden anyone else for help to complete the task. How do you feel about using an axe handle for carving? Peace

Well I hope u are ok, and it's funny u say a axe handle because I just pulled out a small axe and maybe carving it this wewk
That stick looks like it would be perfect for a snake or dragon.

Hey Jordy Jordy is all I need to change my foredom Sr series to a square drive a cable/sheath and handpiece? I need to get a inner cable anyway. So I figured it would be a good time to change it over. It's a little more money but it would make it a more versatile tool by having the ability to use my 1/4 bits with the foredom.
@CarvingFusion2 жыл бұрын
Yup I agree, but u don't have to get the square drive to use the 1/4, ucan get a 1/4 key drive handpiece , but I do suggest the square drive yes
@georgecloninger31652 жыл бұрын
@@CarvingFusion I wanted the square drive so when carving deep I hope it will take a little more punishment, before tying a knot in the cable, plus using the 1/4 bits. Which number handpiece do you use?
