Absolutely LOve Your Video's !And anyone that say's Your Average, your Below grade, your just learning?? Their crazy ! Linker is the Man and followed him since day one ! Yes I'm a very beginner and I mostly do Christmas stuff. Santa , Mrs. Claus , wood crackers, bla bla bla ! And yes I shoved a gouge completely through my hand a couple weeks ago. And yes I had to have it sewed up. Good lessons are sometime hard learned ! But The " LINKER MAN" is always chilled out , calm demeanor , and a Great Teacher. Your Carving are Super cool , especially you Wood spirits and your Painting and finishes are Tops ! Don't ever be hard on yourself,,, your carvings & Personality 😄 are A+ !

First I love your video's. It makes me want to learn to carve. Second, your carving, your video, your methods. If you feel the need to use sandpaper use it. I find the difficult part of carving is the different depths needed to build a face or an object, just practice I suppose, you make it look simple now.☺️👍

To cool! Those are my favorite things that you carve. I have a cotton wood tree in my yard. It's my favorite because the leaves click together and it sounds like I'm in Canada. I didn't know they got so big an now I have to cut it down. Very sad. I like the colors of it. I've never seen what's under the bark. I even have my grandfather's carving tools but never used them an I know I can't do what you just did but maybe I'll try it. Someone told me that woods not good for anything. Well now I know it is thank you.

Love him, nice work Doug, don't care for the fast forward bits but guess you have to tend to all types of viewers...The cottonwood bark looks amazing to carve, can't wait to give it a go but cottonwood trees (or anything with bark even close to that thickness) seem rare in the UK. Doug awesome job on this guy. can i give you a little tip on the eyes. if you add little fine gray lines in the blue part only of the eyeball it would look a bit more realistic. only if you want. That bark seems like it is nice to work with. Thanks again for your inspiration and getting me started in carving. love how you make it look simple. Maine USA
