The mobile version misses one important thing... installing .apk directly. I can not try and install any preview versions of game/app without a pc

@@xerox4eva that's explained in the video how.. you'll need the pc ones to install the filemanager on quest via sideloading. You could do that with another android phone, which is able to push files via ADB ofc, but it's more easy with a computer

I hope they make this iOS compatible. There are a lot of Oculus users on that mobile platform and we’d appreciate it. If the desktop version can run on a Mac I can’t see why a mobile version couldn’t do the same.

there was no prompt when I first opened up sidequest that said to always open sidequest Installer when oculus is connected and when I allow access, sidequest doesn't show up in the apps to choose to open the USB device.

Sadly it uses ANDROID DEBUG BRIDGE so it makes sense, maybe one day there will be a Apple or alternative OS option but for now it probably will stay android only for a while.

One thing I dislike is we can play the side quest games and oculus games directly from the headset itself but what's stopping from playing steam VR games without a need for a PC which is Terri for me all my VR games I bought over the months because I was getting a quest 2 for my birthday but my PC fried itself "to much dust" so now I don't have a PC so I'm trying to figure out what you can do without a PC.

@@silvrsurfer I haven’t jailbroken my phone in years but I use to download from PlayStore all the time. Now only thing that may get in the way is using ADB. You can install an android OS on an iPhone but may not be worth it.

Something under 100 that could get the job done.. but damn I was unaware you could actually run the Play store on iOS.
