@@macfarms Yes it is!! My Sprayer project isn't much different.. show a lot of progress, then nothing.... because you just can't see all the work done...

She is looking good. I like the toaster oven for heating up the parts to ease assembly. We had a freezer in our shop in a previous life where we would put airplane parts for days that were having issues related to our cold operating conditions. Was always humorous to see someone grabbing an ice cream and being shocked to 6 plus figure electronics in there. The freezer was not even capable to reaching the temps (-60c) we needed but it helped a lot.
@macfarms4 жыл бұрын
Yeah man every bit helps. I need a freezer for the shop but I do occasionally stick stuff in the freezer at the house. Sometimes heating one part and freezing the other makes for pretty easy assembly. 6 figure electronics would shock most people I would think lol.

Your not the only one that had to spilt twice great video.

Nope it happens. Good practice lol. Thanks for watching.

Great video big man. I put a new rear crank seal in my David brown and put it back together to find it still leaked! I had to re split... Lots of bad words later it was fixed.
@macfarms4 жыл бұрын
Those rear crank seals can be tricky. Mine didn't seem to be leaking so I let sleeping dogs lie on that one. Thanks for watching.

How's she goin'? It ain't easy eh!!! An old guy that I used to work with, he was a mechanic at work, told me one time if it goes together easy, you forgot something. If it goes together hard you're doing it wrong!!! That's all he said. But I have come to know and understand what he was talking about!!! A big job but it's going back together and it'll be better than ever!!! Thanks for sharing and take care!!

Has the cylinder block been changed for an older one from a previous range? 1394 should have a spin on canister oil filter.
@macfarms3 жыл бұрын
Yes it has a 995 block in it I couldn’t find another later block to use. The original had thrown a rod out through the side.

Who is the "We" you reference? Looks like it has mostly been Scott's hands getting dirty. You must be speaking of You and "We" viewers watching you work, my kind of work! Thanks for bringing us along Scott. No snow moving videos, must have been scared away because Super Dave bought that new snow blower.
@macfarms4 жыл бұрын
lol Yes the viewers and I, pretty good team I think, you guys watch I do the work LOL. Haven't had ANY snow, dad's snow blower and the little Ski-doo Tundra I bought did the trick, scared it away.

We all make mistakes! Just curious if things so far have cost more and taken longer than you originally thought? I know most of my projects do! lol
@macfarms4 жыл бұрын
So far its about what I figured. But there is a lot of expensive parts I need to get yet. Clutch and turbo weren't much fun to pay for lol. Time wise, I had hoped I'd be further along but it is what it is. There is only so much time in the day, not my first rodeo though it is the biggest project I've taken on.
@macfarms4 жыл бұрын
lol ordering the wrong parts is fun, not hard when you start mixing together 2 different tractors built over a decade apart hahaha

@macfarms9 ай бұрын
Probably? It's been awhile....there is one bearing in there that has a grease line going to it for external greasing.

@@macfarms I was looking for some insight on installing a turbo. Someone had removed it and wanting to put on another one but was just wanting to see a tractor with one to see how it all hooks up. I was wanting to try and use an hx35 instead of using oem style, because there’s a huge price difference!
@macfarms2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I see the aftermarket replacements for the 1394 are pushing $1500 CAD now. I think a HX35 would be a bit much for a 1394, would be a good turbo for a 6 cylinder DB though. I'm not sure what the other alternative would be. HX25 maybe? or a HX30 with a wastegate.. You really don't want to push too much boost through these engines with the lighter crankshaft.
