DESCRIPTION
Karina Holmer scratched the final panel on the lottery ticket and was surprised to discover that she’d won 10,000 Swedish Krona. The win couldn’t have come at a better time: it was only one week until 19-year-old Karina was set to leave her small Swedish village in Skillingaryd to travel to the USA.

I’m from the south shore of Massachusetts, about 40 miles south of Boston. I remember when this happened. I was 16. It was all over the news. I’d of never thought back then that 27 years later, this poor girl would still be without justice.

What stands out to me is the fact that she was dismembered in this very specific way. Whoever killed her didn't make much effort to hide the top half of her body, but all these years later the bottom half has not been found. Perhaps she was pregnant and the perp didn't want to be identified through dna analysis of the baby which would have shown who the father was. This ties in with her letter to a friend saying something terrible had happened. Maybe she was raped, maybe she was shocked to discover she was pregnant. This girl and her family deserve justice.

You're narrations are spectacular CF! Thank you for your presentation of this case....which is particularly disturbing and horrifying....especially bcs it remains unsolved. I would start with the couple that has had several opers in their employ... . Why so many? What was their final disposition after leaving? The convenient photography studio for Karina to stay in sounds like it was all planned...... Keep up the good work, CF!

2 things that stand out from this episode is "a $5 taxi ride could save your life." A $5 taxi ride is cheap, now it wouldn't even get you a gallon of fuel. Second is just how awful the media is currently and just how despicable the media is and has always been.

@@Firebrand1967 umm no, and isn't like o I heard the story somewhere else. The script sounds the same too. Like if I heard something on another channel the mode how it is written shouldn't be different. Like yes is the same case and the facts are obviously the same, but if it's another person doing the research and the script for another channel shouldn't it sound different. I am serious here like I expected for him to say about her being let to use the town apartment and he did it said it when I expected. I don't understand how that is possible if I heard it on trace evidence which I follow too I am not going to lie. I had the same problem with another channel recently . That channel had two cases that I heard before and they where written exactly like I heard them before. How this is even possible.

Degrading a woman's right to go out for drinks and have fun, and implying they are irresponsible, yet not mentioning the fact if MEN are responsible for their own circumstances and behaviour, they wouldnt attack and murder random strangers. ....I don't think he said if you go out at night yku deserve to be cut into pieces...I think what he said was if you go out at night and engage in any activity known to impair your judgment you are knowingly risking that you may encounter evil in an impaired state and thus place yourself in a better position to become a victim. If I don't jump out of a plane I guarantee you I will never die from my parachute not opening. And if I don't drink to the point of impairment and stay with friends when I'm out the chances of me being cut into pieces significantly decrease.
