Living her life and sharing her story will do more to affect the world for good than most people will ever achieve in their lives. What an incredible human being. I think its vreat ( although i couldn't) forgave the murderer of the ppl she loves most and in doing so, by not letting this murderer win in the end because she was able to forgive she didn't allow him to make her a victim but rather a survivor in more ways than any of us could ever know or understand. What Robin went through, I can't even imagine. She is such an inspiration. She's a "how-to" on survival and thank God for that. Hearing her saying "I want my Mom" with such anguish, it made me cry. My Mom died when I was 17 of an autoimmune disease and that was horrible enough.. here she was, 5 years younger and losing her whole family to senseless violence is incomprehensible. That 1st officer, Deputy Chad Brooks, that got to her first touched my heart. He's a special, wonderful man and what all other officers should aspire to. The care and compassion in him is beautiful. Kathy Kleiner also touched me. Hearing her speak and taking us through what she went through after an attack by that monster is heart wrenching but inspiring as well. Sheriff Ken Katsaris is a brilliant law enforcement official, the things he did to contain Bundy (inventing the Bundy Brace, reinforcing his cell) and knew to gather evidence (the bite mark and getting a warrant for bite impression) were the first of their kind ever done. His contributions to forensics still help law enforcement today. RIP to Robin's family and to the girls/women lost to Ted Bundy's psycho rage.

So true of so many cases I hear. I have a hard time enough just hearing that a violent person will some day be released among us. It really angers me when these monsters get released early. That is a slap in the face of society, and a punch in the gut for the victim, and their loved ones. These monsters often reoffend within a year of release, and are even more violent. Levi is just one example of that.

The first true crime I read was a book I found in a library where I worked. It was about Ted Bundy and I think it was around 1979. It was hard to process, especially since I was in the victims age group. Meanwhile Son of Sam was at that time in the consciousness. We're used to these things now, but it was startling and girls first felt they had targets on their backs, I think.

I’d have zero issues being on a death penalty jury. I would loose sleep or a nightmare of serving on a jury. The truth will be brought to light. You just have to learn to listen to your initial gut instinct and not be allowed to be swayed in the least. You have a brain so put it to work when in jury duty of any kind.

He is a man of faith and principle who is committed to informing his community about the legal process with an eye to preparing people to be effective jurors. I have no problem with the death penalty. It is useful if only for the fact the cowardly criminals often take a plea to spare their own pathetic lives. More importantly, they will often reveal the location of bodies. The criminal gave up their right to live on the planet. No one is taking their life.

It's horrifying that Robin could relive the entire event so vividly that she was able to accurately and confidently count 15 gunshots. Imagine repeatedly reliving the worst moment of your life in perfect clarity. Trauma is no joke. For anyone who needs the friendly reminder: It's this kind of trauma that "trigger warnings" are for. College professors aren't going around giving trigger warnings so everybody can avoid hearing opinions they dislike. They're warning specific individuals (in a general announcement) that they will be discussing topics that are particularly likely to cause actual trauma responses like flashbacks or panic attacks.
@thegroovyhead5 ай бұрын
Thank you. Absolutely, particularly amid a young population of victims and "trauma-struck."

Thank you as someone with CPTSD this made me smile knowing someone cares enough to be specific. Too many people misconstrued it as a genuine thing everyone has when thats just not even close to how ppl work. Everyone handles trauma differently. And little disclaimer ik not everyone thinks they have PTSD, and no im not gatekeeping you should genuinely go to a professional for it and if you can’t still do the healing steps to get somewhere better but again DO NOT SELF DIAGNOSE its way more dangerous than ppl lead on. Anyways end of my rant, thrive
