Watching your videos has made me realise I need to stop ignoring the Fusion tab. Here's a question... do you think it is possible to animate an entire short cartoon using only Fusion (plus maybe some external graphical assets)? I'm not expecting that Fusion would be the *best* way to do it, but sometimes the tool you have is better than the tool you don't. I'm thinking that some sort of kinematics for jointed figures could be achieved by chaining up a bunch of transform nodes

I'd probably add some movement to the stars to give them that sort of "twinkling" effect. Potentially setting a Perturb modifier on the alpha, size, and rotation. But then, I just like having Perturb modifiers animate things for me. Anyways, I really enjoy your tutorials, I think it's safe to say I wouldn't be half as good at DaVinci as I am now without your channel. Keep up the great work!

- Perturb modifier on the windows blend to make it look like a flickering light (fire/ candles) - Glow on the lit windows - Use a noise image with a seeth rate as a mask to make the start twinkle - Add patches of grass and flowers to the hill. - Add patches of grass around the bottom of the house to make it integhrate more into the hill - Maybe do duplicate node on some fireflies with a perturb modifier to have them fly around the grass hill at night? I find it funny when people say that Resolve / Fusion isn't good for MoGraph. LOL

Hi Casey, I have a very important question about the studio version of DaVinci. What I'm trying to figure out is that from what I understand, you can activate the studio version on up to 2 computers. I have only used my activation key on 1 PC but was wondering if I were to use my second activation on a laptop I currently have does that make it to were I can't use the activation key on a different device like for instance if I were to upgrade to a better laptop or if the laptop or my PC were to get damaged. The reason I'm asking is because I recently had a house fire and currently don't have access to my PC I built specifically for editing with DaVinci and I don't want to use the Studio activation code if it can't be terminated off one device and reactivated on another. Any information you can share on this subject would be greatly appreciated. Thank you ahead of time 🙏
@CaseyFaris11 ай бұрын
Yeah you can deactivate it and and put it on your new system from the new system. No problem. Sorry about the fire that sucks!

how to export to JSON lottie file because their is option in after effects using plugins like Bodymovin or lottie file extension Because some clients need json format so that they can use it on app development purposes and on website as they are very small in size but retains all information of animation

Ever since update to the new version of Davinci Resolve 18.5.6 has anyone else notice problems with removal of green screens ? it is removing everything ( or adding everything ). It is unable to tell the differences between the typical green screen with good lighting, and white and mat white finish tables, brown masking tape, duct tape, and a variety of other objects which are not remotely looking green ( even large items ), not the same light as the green screen, and on a table far away from the green screen. Or even large items infront of the green screen that are not remotely green. What are the different / new techniques needed in order to remove a green screen these days ? Also how to remove the green tinge from around objects. Free version - not studio version of Davinci Resolve 18.5.6. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
