If you had one of those rotator trucks it would have been a simpler operation. But you did well with what you had. You already admitted to it but you needed a heavier truck but then I am not sure if it would have not bogged down in the soft sand. I think you put them in the best situation to work on the excavator and then it can be driven out and continue with the operation.
@JAMESYBOY.3 жыл бұрын
Yea true but a rotator can range from 500k to a million, those type trucks benefit police tow companies alot more then just a average tow company that mainly dose AAA style calls but you are right that would of knocked out this call in no time
@lockedin603 жыл бұрын
@@JAMESYBOY. I said it would be nice but not practical for Casey. I can't say what Casey's long term projects will be but if my thinking is correct he doesn't want to get into that type of work. His main culprit here was the type of soil he was working against. If you watch Ron Pratt-Midwest Trucking he has a Rotator Truck. His family has been doing the more traditional towing and recovery work for 35+ years. They have Industrial Clients were the use of the Rotator is essential.

Do your rear winches run off a battery other than your start battery? If so, is the auxiliary battery under the hood or is it back on the bed area? Not his call unless he wants to be on the hook for any damage the rental place can get their mechanic to testify to. A 140+ HP FWA tractor could have pulled it out once he got it turned, on dirt, (if tracks can be released even less) I don’t know that engine. Removing glow plugs, fiber optic, quick crank when open. Then you have no concerns fuel, oil, possibly antifreeze if unknown damage won’t cause hydro lock, huge $$$ damage.
