If you ever want to do a "Sand Bottle" decoration at home, when I was little I would use salt instead of sand! (Which is pretty consistent with this channel) Put some fine salt in a plastic plate, grab a chalk (yes, the colored ones for painting in chalkboard) and scrub the salt with it until the salt is colored! You can make whichever color you like and layer it and it doesn't stick to the bottle because salt doesn't have static! I would love if they see this and try it someday! Because what's better than Jackie and Sika doing Sand Bottles? JACKIE AND SIKA DOING SALT BOTTLES! YES!

Cool idea! Doesn't it get weird and moist with time tho?

From a long-time embroiderer: to separate out a strand of floss, hold the floss about a centimeter or so from the end, with the end sticking up. Pick one strand and grip it between the thumb and forefinger of your other hand. Hold the floss (all 6 strands) firmly but not too tight, and pull the one strand you selected upwards. The rest of the floss will bunch up underneath your hand, and you'll swear it's getting knotted and snarled, but it's not. Keep pulling, slow and steady. When the strand you selected comes all the way out, the rest of the floss will fall back down. If it's a little curled, you can straighten it easily. You can separate all six strands that way; it works like a charm, no need for both hands and your teeth, nor for careful untwisting while you pull. :)
@harvestkitty3 жыл бұрын
While that's a very useful and valid tip for most decent brands of floss, some of the really cheap brands definitely knot and cause major issues no matter how you try to separate the threads.
@Marsbert3 жыл бұрын
I was coming to the comments to suggest this technique 👍 I will add though, that making sure your string is not cut too long will help it not getting tangled as easily.

In Sika's defense, Jackie you are trying to get her to cut the wrong end of the zipper only the end with only teeth.

She wasn’t trying to get her to cut the wrong end. You cut the end with the stopper off and then you create a new “stopper” by sewing across the zipper. You can’t cut the end where the mechanism starts from.

The short description is that when you use scissors, you naturally push inward with your thumb and pull outward with you other fingers. If you use the "wrong" hand, that separates the blades and makes it harder to cut anything.
