Casino Royale wins hands down. Skyfall was great, but it drags in parts, whereas CR is non-stop. Even the poker scene was thrilling. Plus, Vesper Lynd & Le Chiffre were unforgettable.

Definitely Casino Royale, better action, plot, cast and of course the song at the start. Plus you can watch it over and over again. Skyfall, while it is very pretty to look at makes absolutely no sense with plot if you watch it a second time and the home alone action scene ending is a real 'what were they thinking?' moment.

Definitely Casino Royale hands down since it built upon the novel brilliantly while remaining faithful to it with the poker scene. Skyfall was definitely the 2nd best of the Craig era since it like Casino Royale can be watched as a stand alone film.

I absolutely adore bond movies, especial the daniel craig era because thats the one where I grew up. But above all his movies, Skyfall is not just my favourite bond movie but my favourite movie of all time. The emotional bond between M and bond, the unbelievable cinematography - its too beautiful to be described in words, Silva's raw hate for M felt so real, some truly iconic scenes (love it when bonds running to save M and she is talking about her late husband's poetry) and more than anything a broken bond this time around, battered and bruised followed by a pretty realistic redemption arc through the three acts. Imho it is better than casino royale, the latter is brilliant but I have rewatched skyfall way too many times and it scratches that one itch in my head every single time.

If I'm not mistaken, Sony is no longer involved in any of the future Bond films. Amazon owns all the rights to the franchise. Also, the last Bond film, No Time To Die, was released through Universal Pictures.

I did struggle a little with this one, not like Addams Family (everyone chooses #2). However, Martin Campbell has done to Bond twice what James Burrows has done to multiple sitcoms. Start a new series with a great opening outing. I will put Casino Royale above GoldenEye, but that tank chase was awesome. Remi Julienne, we miss you.

Pierce Brosnan is still my favorite because he’s the Bond I grew up with. He also just really looks the part imo. But Daniel Craig is now my second favorite. And, Casino Royale is 1B to Goldeneye’s 1A in my ranking. Very interesting that both were directed by Martin Campbell.

Casino Royale is probably a better film from a technical perspective but for me Skyfall is much more entertaining and just has a lot more of the classic Bond vibe to it. Casino Royale's sheer lack of traditional Bond elements is hard for me to look past. It feels a lot more like a Jason Bourne movie.

Funny how they outright and unequivocally cast Lashana Lynch to be the Bond who takes over the franchise (however haphazard and shoddy it might have been done), yet they still have all this talk going on behind closed doors about "who the next Bond might be" and whether or not they'll be non-binary or this or that.
