En Japón en 2015 me compré el GW-M5610BC-1JF. Le cambié la pila en 2021. Sufrió todo tipo de agresiones, sudor, roce, sol, frío, calor, arena, mar, pintura epoxica, y sigue en un estado 7.5/10 visualmente, en lo funcional una maravilla. Lo único que perdí fue la hora automática por onda.

You might have the newer U version (M5610U) which has a different backlight and module but has the same looks on the outside If you are unsure you can always check which one you have by looking at the case on the back of the watch

Yeah, the main change is using LEDs instead of electroluminescence. I like the EL backlight better due to nostalgia, but the LED will last indefinitely without ever wearing out and stays on longer since it uses less battery, so it is the more practical choice

I never use the auto backlight feature. The novelty wears off really quick, and it’s just simply annoying. Plus it just wastes the battery.
