Amazing hair serum. I have been using littleexta reaactivate hair growth serum for about a month now for my severe hair fall issue. It is very effective for me. Furthermore, new hairs are appearing now. This is my second bottle. Hair fall decreased right away and new hair growth also started now. Absolutely loving THE SERUM!

My dermatologist suggested I forget all the potions that may or may not work and just use minoxidil and red-light. Best decision I ever made and it's only $26 for a 6-month supply. Used the minoxidil for a year and the results were phenomenal. Added red-light and got even more. It's changed my life.

Just as a heads up, there are a lot of things that affect iron absorption! Including tea. As long as there’s a 2 hour window between consumption of your coffee and iron supplement/iron rich foods, it won’t interfere with absorption. Hoping this will help because I also love my coffee (and am prone to having low iron levels)

Gluten interfered with mine. That’s how I found out I couldn’t tolerate gluten anymore at 50yo. I was sooo deficient in iron and Zinc they thought I had Arsenic poisoning ( because of my job at the wastewater treatment plant). Gluten inflamed by body so much that I wasn’t absorbing anything. My hair was falling out in clumps. So food allergies will try to kill you. I also passed out behind the wheel and an caused accident. Thank god alls well that ends well. Check for allergies is the summery.

Peppermint oil absolutely works with a few caveats…. 1) make sure it’s a 3% dilution I like to use grapeseed oil or jojoba 2) It should stay on your head for approximately 8 to 12 hours so put it in the morning wear your hair up or in a bun and wash that night or sleep overnight with a scarf in your head 3) Massage the scalp preferably with that silicon scalp massager before and after application I have more growth around my hair line and less breakage. The only other thing that has really thickened my hair and shown a big difference is Nioxin Density Rescue. My hair looks like a wig it’s so thick!

My hair growth success story regime below: 1. Scalp Massage Daily for 20 Minutes Everyday 2. Taoist Soap for Hair Growth 2x a week on scalp (Can find online or UK Pharmacies) 3. Nettle Leaf Tea 2x a day to clean out hormone residue in the liver which causes hormone imbalances 4. Collagen Supplement daily, 2x a day in powder form (nothing fancy, just buy from online or pharmacy) I did these and my hair is much thicker, and grows superfast, now i don't have to do this as consistently like I did before, but at the start you need to be consistent.

Same, exactly! I don’t use it before being seen by the public because it does make you look kinda greasy, but using it a few times a week has dramatically reversed my hair loss (and my mom’s, and a few friends’ too). I’d still suggest people try it out given how reasonably priced it is and how effective it has been for many.

It works for me too. It's not a miracle, but with consistent use it significantly lessens my hair fall. I use it on my scalp, eyebrows and (carefully with a q-tip) on my lashes as well. I think it can be difficult to realize it's working because the results take time, but if you stop using it.... you'll realize it was definitely working! I did also try the lash and brow serum from The Ordinary, but after about 3 months I realized that most of my new brow and lash growth had fallen out, so I went back to the regular hair growth serum, and they grew back again.

Hi Cassandra. I believe Biotin works in growing existing hair only. Whenever I stop using Biotin, I notice that my nails and hair don't grow as quickly. But when I resume using Biotin, my hair and nails grow superfast. They grow so fast that I need to have my hair trimmed more often and need to file my nails back every other day rather than just once a week. But I never see new growth of hair that I didn't already have.

It's actually INSANE how much taking care of my scalp over the last year and half has changed my hair. I oiled and massaged my scalp pre-wash, used scalp exfoliant for a few months, and then simplified my whole hair routine a la Blowout Professor I switched to Redken acidic bond series, the TINY BOTTLES lasted me 6 months and I wash 2* every 4 days. My hair is long, healthy and I got a ton of new growth- my hairline filled in after years of mild balding Lowering stress levels also makes a huge difference, and takes like 3+ months to see effects.

@MafiaBoy206
@MafiaBoy206 2 жыл бұрын
Totally agree with you, not enough talk on cause. From my experience, the cause for hair thinning is inflammation, even if the greater cause is hormones, DHT, vitamin lacking or others. So to reduce inflammation on the scalp, I personally do the following: Scalp massage (or anything that will increase circulation in the scalp) for at least 10 minutes to 30 minutes everyday, then to cover localized inflammation I use the Taoist Soap for Hair, It's designed to stop inflammation whatever it touches (don't have to use it everyday tho), and then to cover amino acid requirement I take collagen 2 times a day, 2 tablespoons. I already commented about this above on the main comment section, but thought id repeat it as may help you. Its alwasy the combination this regime that has helped me and my family most in helping keep hair thicker, and recover lost hair (for me). Women in the family get results with this faster weirdly.

After chemo treatment for 6 months, my hair grew back but my hairline had receded on both sides of my temple. My hairdresser told me about this amazing product which I have been using for about 3 weeks and already my hair is growing back really well. The shampoo and conditioner definitely has peppermint in it (tingles a bit), and after rinsing out, I used the serum which s is a “stay in” serum. My hair started growing back after 1 week of using it. I only washed my hair twice a week and had used the serum every day on dry hairline for the first week. I’m so happy with it. Also I checked with my oncologist before using it and she told me it won’t affect my tablets I’m on for my after chemo treatment pills 😀

Thank you so much for pointing this out! I just went to purchase & saw they made changes (or I missed the specific conditions before) so I’ve opted not to shell out $2100 plus tax for something that will keep 18% fee PLUS SALES TAX (how is that even legal?) and charge me for return shipping. The only reason I was willing to try such an expensive device was because they had such a liberal trial policy, which made it worth the risk. It’s never a good sign when the policy changes. It makes me wonder if enough people didn’t see results and returned it; that’s usually when return policies get changed. I can’t imagine people abusing the return policy because if they did see results, why would they return it given it only works if you continue using it? sadly, my last hope is now off the table. Ironically, they do refund for empty bottles of shampoo. Go figure on that “logic”…,

@@luckshmee I imagine it would. The mechanisms that cause loss of pigment in the hair growth cycle are the same as those that (eventually) cause the hair to fall out. I lost honestly 3 hair when I washed my hair as compared to the huge gobs I was losing without it. I did this right before jumping into the shower and the hair loss amount was astounding!! I use it every time I wash my hair. Hair loss benefits, I believe, from a multi-modality approach. I also have used a I-restore essential helmet using red light therapy every other day (14 months) and I also use a high frequency wand comb too, less consistently. Others to consider are pumpkin skin seed capsule taken orally and saw palmetto capsules and the same oils applied topically. That said, I've noticed the biggest improvement with daily scalp massage; the motorized one is easy to use daily.

So glad to hear your hair is returning! I was just doing some reading about alternative pain relief, specifically Succinic acid. I got off topic a bit when they started discussing benefits for acne treatment and hair regrowth and thickness. This statement "Succinic acid has antioxidant and regenerating properties, thickens the hair shaft from the inside, improving its appearance. It activates hair growth, has a beneficial effect on the scalp, improving metabolic processes in cells." had me remembering your video that I viewed a few hours ago. There were also comments that it has long been used in facial products because it is gentle on the skin, more so than salicylic acid and can help balance oil production. I have seen your videos about your journey with both hair and skin issues and wondered what you think of this? I did see that the Inkey list had acne products labeled as Succinic acid. What do you think of this acid for hair and/or skin? Have you already tried it in one or more of your red zone products? Have you decided not to try it for reasons I might not be aware of? Thanks for the videos! Good luck with your product trials!

I've been spraying a clove/rosemary water blend after shampooing, before drying, a jamaiican black seed castor oil shampoo (which strengthens hair/less hair fall), microneedling my scalp every other week, and washing my hair in cool/lukewarm water for 6 months. I also use a blowout hair tool instead of a traditional hairdryer now. Doing all of these things has made a huge difference in hair fall, and my hair is growing back where it was thinning so badly before. Such a difference already! It is still a process but I cannot wait to see what my hair looks like at the one yr mark. I also take a supplement called hair hero but that alone didn't seem to be enough for me to see a difference, although it is the number two recommended supplement after Nutrafol. I want to do it naturally and without chemicals.

@@marionym5969 in the year since I started these things my hair has grown back in A LOT but it still has a way to go to be as thick as it was before significant hair loss. It had gotten so thin on top my scalp was showing. I've noticed in the last month or so since I changed up my vit D pill to include K2 my hair seems to be growing in faster than before. K2 is supposed to help the body absorb vit D better and vit D helps hair growth. The Jamaiican Black Seed Castor Oil shampoo has DEFINITELY made my hair root stronger and my hair loss is minimal now. I also don't shampoo as often and went with an all natural shampoo to use with the castor oil shampoo. One to cleanse, one to strengthen. I believe the spray and dermaroller are still making a difference too. I'm very happy with the progress.

Hi Cassandra, I was watching your video yesterday and I notice how good your hair looked! I was hoping for an update on your hair. I never Clicked so fast! Thank you for your honesty and explaining the science behind it. I just recently bought the irestore this past Black Friday and I’ve been using it every other day. Dr. Dray sold me on that too. I’ve been experiencing hair loss/thinning but recent notice in October of this yr it was more than usual. Did some research tried vegamour (that didn’t work for me it irritated my scalp). Made an appointment with my dermatologist but had to wait a month for an appointment. I became depressed because my hair is like my identity. I made an appointment to see my physician because I was just so upset about my hair and other medical issues that I wanted to go on depression medication and get lab work done. The day before my appointment with my physician I came across Covid hair loss. I have heard that people had that but didn’t pay it much attention. But the day before my appointment I looked into. And basically everything I was experiencing was identical to the hair loss from Covid AKA telogen effluvium. I felt so relieved that I had figured out what was going on. That my hair would comeback and that it wasn’t hair loss it was just my hair shedding. I went into that appointment in hopes she would send me for blood work to make sure my labs were good. I explained to her about the Covid hair loss she instantly shut me down and said that “we don’t have enough information” she didn’t hear me out at all. It was extremely disappointing. I asked for blood work to check my iron and vitamin D… she told me vitamin D has nothing to do with hair loss. I went for blood work and she didn’t even check my iron or vitamin D like I asked. She checked testosterone, WBC, RBC… I am currently looking for a new physician. She rushed me out of the office. I went to the dermatologist and she herself was experiencing TE from Covid. She understood. She checked my iron and vitamin D. My iron was low and my vitamin was extremely low. I’ve learned to advocate for myself and speak up. I am not sure if irestore will help me with TE but I do have new hair growing. Dr. Dray doesn’t have hair loss but she does say that it makes her ponytail thicker. I figured it will strengthen my hair and won’t hurt it. I’m also taking supplements for iron and Vitamin D.

I saw good reviews on amygrow herbal hair oil and decide to try it. I've only been using it for just close to a month so I haven’t seen the result I'm hoping for, but in this short time, I'm beginning to see a little more growth in my bangs. I have high hopes for this hair oil and plan to purchase more to continue use. Since I only use it in the bangs, the product is lasting a good while. I use one squirt of the distributed pump amount and massage it in the edge of my bangs and widow peak. It does not make my hair feel greasy. I apply at night before going to bed. I only wash my hair once a week. There is no routine.

I was so excited to see this update. I have been struggling with Androgenetic Alopecia for years, but it really peaked last June. I had the blood tests run, but I didn’t do any more, and now it has a good head start on me. I began Minoxidil in November, and added Spironalactone this month. I also use Viviscal Pro, all the hair supplements, and I’ve ordered the iRestore (Dr. Dray’s code) which should be delivered by the first of the year. You add things one at a time to isolate your variables, but I work in reverse. I jump in with both feet, and if/when I see results, I fade out interventions until I reach the minimum effective program. Please keep us informed on how you are doing.

Minoxidil and spironolactone are the real MVPs here. I'm super disappointed she didn't even mention them. Minoxidil is literally THE gold standard in treating hair loss. 🙄 all this other crap is straight up snake oil. It really makes me question Cassandra. She's a trained esthetician with access to field professionals. There's no way that at the very least minoxidil (and spiro) weren't mentioned to her yet she's wasting time, money and follicles on all these crap money grabs and promoting people and products to her fans. Especially the irestore. I've done a ton of research on it. The reviews speak for themselves. Most derms don't actually recommend any at home LED/laser devices. Idk man. Nutritional deficiencies are definitely causative in hairloss, male and female. They almost always suppress thyroid function which regulates the metabolism. Hairloss is common among hypothyroid patients (ie, people with suppressed metabolism). When energy metabolism is dysfunctional the body restricts resources for non essential functions (eg hair and nail growth). You may also experience cold hands and feet. While external causes will vary, hairloss can only occur via these particular pathways. It is an end result of underlying metabolic stress. Everything is connected.

I used to experience severe hair loss, pulling gobs of hair out of my comb and brush. I started taking DHT blocker supplements and now I hardly have any hair in my comb after a shower. I also treat my scalp with 5% minoxidil (the one for men because it’s cheaper) and use it only once a day at night. That is the only product that makes new little hairs start to grow. But I have to stay consistent. I went on a 3 week trip and didn’t take it with me. 6 weeks later all my new growth fell out. Actually came out. So now I am back on both products and will continue them for the rest of my life.

Don't listen to a word in this video dude. She didn't even mention minoxidil! 🙄 minoxidil and spironolactone are the mvps for hormonal hair loss. Get your thyroid levels checked if you can and haven't already. All this shit she's promoting here is straight up snake oil.

Rosemary oil has been shown to work as well as minoxidil. Minoxidil, like many other ingredients, is absorbed systemically and isn't great for your health if you are a sensitive or unhealthy person. This is why it can give heart palpitations.

One thing will never solve hairloss. You have to use a combination of things. It starts with nutrition, making sure you are balanced because your diet can contribute to your hormones going whack, keep scalp clean as well. Rosemary essential oil helps as well. It's quite tiring and frustrating having to do different things but consistency with topical treatments and hair oils does help.

The biotin shampoo from Tree to Tub helped me with hair regrowth after having covid. I also had those baby hairs but mine is longer now. Also, that scalp massager looks so relaxing I'm off to find one for myself, thanks 🤗

You cannot grow much additional hair below the line of occipital bone. The OB is the bone protrusion in the back of your head. If you make an imaginary line following the protrusion line around the whole head, that is the line of demarcation. If you see most very bald men, they have a lot of hair below that line. Generally, for women, unless you have alopecia areata or are on medical treatment for cancer, you will not lose much hair below that line. Some people will from age and for some reason, nothing works in that area to regrow or redeem the density of hair you had when you were young. Androgenic alopecia, and most times, telegenic effluvium, mostly concentrates on the front, crown, hairline and sides of the hair. On many people, the hair loss will concentrate on the crown, front, temples and only one side of your head.

I have thin strands of straight hair and I feel that not brushing/combing my hair when it’s wet has helped. I brush my hair before I wash it and after it air dries and it seems to have helped a lot. I must note that I shower at night and just let my hair air dry. I realize that a lot of people shower in the morning and style their hair so that probably makes a difference

My dermatologist recommended that I get the moisture out of my hair before I go to sleep. A wet scalp is prone to fungal growth and breakdown of the skin. And a wet pillow only prolongs the drying. See if that helps things. I do notice that it helped me

LOVE THAT THIS IS WORKING FOR YOU! I’ve been subscribed for a couple of weeks and have watched a lot of your videos, and I love that you use reliable resources and isolate variables to permit a real, evidence based conversation. Could you do a video on dandruff? I have struggled with an itchy scalp for YEARS. In the last 2 years I finally stopped washing my hair daily and go about every 4 days now, and I will say I want to be able to go longer but by day 3 my whole scalp is burning. I have tried multiple pyrithione zinc products and I have felt they may ease my symptoms (though not for even a full day), but they weren’t helping my actual condition. I have noticed that dove dry scalp therapy mist has been helpful, but still not an end all. Would love to hear what to know!

.... U can use hair serums with peppermint or rosemary instead of using essential oils so u don't have to dilute it or risk a bad dilution?... On that note I have been using rosemary hair sprays consistently and have been seeing results and feeling that it got thicker in my hands.

Great review, it's important to try different things and be patient. As an owner of long hair, who experienced great volume and periods of hair loss, and again regrowth...I have to say the approach has to be holistic, starting from mentioned blood tests, with big attention to diet, washing routine, and general habits. For me, discovering matcha (powder green tea) and drinking it every day did wonders for my gut, skin, and hair because of the constant delivery of antioxidants. I'm sure there are other drinks or supplements that could work this way, matcha worked for me because I loved the taste and I needed a coffee replacement, you have to find something that you will enjoy. A lot of times changing one's diet is more about quitting stuff that weakens the progress like cutting out alco, tobacco, processed food, and processed sugar, limiting some, and replacing others with healthier alternatives (xylitol and stevia instead of sugar, dates instead of candies, magic wand instead of alco:). Changing the washing routine also gives immediate effects, like swapping aggressive shampooing with "washing" hair using conditioners (without silicone, butter, wax) and shampoos without SLS, leaving the strong shampoos (with SLS) only for monthly cleansing, and even then use only a little bit and dilute it. Of course, adding the leave-in conditioners, oils, and masks will be great too, but most of all - stop stripping your hair. Last but not least, make sure you are not exposing your hair to damage, get silky scrunchies, silky pillowcase, delicate towel, and massage your scalp with hydrating serums/scalp conditioners. I had a crazy amount of baby hair after two months of rubbing in an organic gel that I'm making at home. Try not to stress, embrace the process, and be good to yourself.

@@Dearenglish8 You basically boil the flax seeds in a small pot, separate it and place in the container. You can apply on dry or wet hair, use as scalp conditioner, add to masks and henna in coloring, each way needs a it different method, I will be posting a video about it in a few days on my channel and socials.

to regrow my hair (postpartum hair loss) i used the Mielle Rosemary and Mint Scalp and Hair Treatment, Doo Grow Mega Hair Thick Oil, Inkey List Caffeine Scalp Treatment, i will make a rosemary and mint “tea” and put it in my scalp 2x a day, rosemary essential oil diluted in a carrier oil like jojoba or argon, and finally scalp massage 💆‍♀️ at least 5 minutes a day.

The thing about postpartum hair loss is that it usually regrows on its own within a year or so. It's therefore difficult to know whether a treatment made the hair regrow, or whether it was going to regrow anyway. Women lose a lot of hair after giving birth because during pregnancy our bodies have very high levels of progesterone and estrogen, which disrupts the normal hair cycle and elongates the time hair stays in the growing phase. When these hormone levels drop after giving birth, that extra hair falls out all at once, which makes our hair look thinner than usual. As our hormones balance out the hair goes back to a normal cycle.

I got the massagey doohickey on Prime day too! Yay! It does feel sooo good!!! And thank you for your openness and honesty about your personal struggle. So many of us, women and men alike, go through the same thing. Sure, I know that men don’t go through the same things as women. And, I often feel that women get hit extra hard because of biology and certain societal expectations, but I in no way not respect that men have their own biology and societal expectation issues that they struggle with as well. Again, thanks for sharing what has and has not worked for you.

For me The Ordinary works for my hair growth. Been using it for 8 months now, my hair is fuller and longer. It does make my hair greasy so I only put it in my hair every wash day. My wash days are usually every 4 to 5 days. I always struggled with thin hair and felt insecure about it. People use to point out how thin my hair was and point out my bold spot. I hated it!! But after so many months using The Ordinary, I fell more confident about my hair and my bold spot is no longer visible.

I have really suffered with hair loss over the years and have been taking a one a day supplement called Nutrihair and it is so so good. I've been taking it tor about 9 months consistently but started noticing significant changes to the thickness of my hair by the 3 month mark. I have tried so many treatments, supplements but this is like no other.

I lost a great deal of hair after getting Covid 2 years ago. The IRestore has been my saving grace. I came up with a solution for the hair underneath in the very back. Bend down, Flip your hair over and place TBE I restore on the back of your head. 2 sessions, one on the top and one on the back. Works like a charm.

The three things that worked for me were 1. Drinking collagen powder in my tea every morning. 2. Investing in a really good shower filter to soften and remove all the calcium and other contaminants from my hard water and 3. Investing in the SRI DryQ hairdryer. It has infrared light which is really good for my scalp. I went from a thin bob to thicker hair below my shoulders. My hair also has more body. You guys may want to check the quality of your water.
