We need to check the UV index every day in Australia. We are taught to Slip, Slap, Slop, Seek, Slide. Slip on UPF clothing, Slap on UPF hat, Slop on SPF 50 sunscreen, Seek shade and Slide on sunglasses. We are encouraged to avoid the outdoors when the UV index is high and get regular skin checks. Cate Blanchett and Nicole Kidman both have Fitzpatrick Type 1 skin so need to be extra careful!

I went to kindergarten with her older daughter, Bella. While I never met Tom Cruise, Nicole came into class for activities that invited parental participation. She was warm, gentle, and down to earth. I remember running up to her and telling her she looked like a princess, haha. I think about what a devoted mom she seemed to be, and how tragic it is that Scientology essentially stole her older children. I am very glad she has a loving family now, but I can’t imagine the heartbreak she has endured.

We have to in Australia we've got such strong sun exposure. And generations of people with skin cancers. Now we've got the strictest laws in the world for outdoor workers and school kids. Hats, clothing, SPF & shade are legal requirements.

When I was in Australia for three months years ago they had this "slip slap slop" public awareness campaign going on. Slip on a shirt, slap on a hat, slop on sunscreen. I've always worn sunscreen daily since. They trained me well :)

Every 90 mins reapplication seems a bit excessive, I think you only need to reapply twice a day if you're exercising, going to the beach etc. but hey Nic's skin looks good so whatever works for her

It sparked higher rates of cancer so the government took the bold and right initiative to curve spray usage through government and business programs and to push the campaign to sunblock up. yeah someone said my natural hair was ugly (to my best friend at the time) and she told me asap, i never took care of it though and it was matted and tangled, i ended up getting a haircut and getting layers to help with the tangles and the hairdresser straightened my hair for the first time. btw this was in grade 4 so i was like 7? or 8 idk. i’m 20 now and i’ve been straightening my hair ever since. Recently gotten better though at leaving my hair natural but on days I work or have school, it’s either straight or curled (with a curling iron)

Yup it used to be seen as uncool in the mid nineties. I remember being 8-11 and pin straight hair was the standard unless you could wear your curls unapologetically/they were just impossible to straighten without damage. Now I try to embrace my curls/waves when I was a kid I wanted straight black Asian hair like my mom but even my mom's hair has some wave, while my grandmother on my dad's side had curly brown hair with red highlights.

I just wondered about that also because, unless you're of a certain old age and/or from such a different culture and maybe even isolated from or unexposed to Hollywood and American entertainment, I don't think it's possible to not even be familiar with a top-tier actress like Nicole. But she has said she's more interested in music stars than actors so I guess it wouldn't be that strange from that angle. And it's one thing to not have a favorite movie or TV show if you weren't raised with even a TV set like Cassandra. Same for my mom because she grew up in a super rural farm in a third-world country, but there is NO WAY that a human doesn't have favorite songs or music at least and so cannot recognize and be interested in their performers. It's so crazy to me that you were bullied for your curly hair when here I was getting perms, sleeping with those pink foam rollers in my hair, using a curling iron, braiding pigtails... Anything I could do to try to get my very naturally straight hair to be curly! I am more accepting of my natural hair now (and don't want to take the time and effort to try to change it) but every time I pass by someone who has embraced their natural curls, I swoon ❤️ Just remember, bullying is not about the person being bullied but about the insecurities that the bully has themselves!

What I felt honest about this one is even when she is ambassador for that brand she only used super basic products while other expose the whole line and. If not honest I'm sure was smart. Also botox and fillers don't substitute skincare. The skin can be tighten or plump by does things buy it won't substitute cleansing, exfoliating, hydrating and moisturizing. So I get you point about the not seeing what's real because the cosmetics procedures, but to be honest. Who is really hoping to see a difference in one aplication thru a camera? It's good for entertainment at the end is a kind of celebrity gossip thru personal care. Before they show houses or closets now the show skin. It's fine and I wish you a great day ^_^

i totally understand the notion of being bullied for curly hair. for me, the thing that got me to stop giving a fuck about what others thought and start loving my curls was actually a haircut. a lot of the pain i associated with my curly hair was actually the pain of having long hair that got tanged and knotted. i realized i couldn’t handle the maintenance, but ever since my pixie cut (which has now grown out a bit) i really love my hair. i also dyed parts of it green!!! how could i NOT love that??
