Um, not necessarily. While Kendall's whole routine is all over the place, there have been studies that have proven that some sunscreens work better when used before moisturizer. Rest everything is just a no 😂😂
@rmgqwzxiytfj4 жыл бұрын
@@angles4307 lol, ya right, show me those studies! 🙃 There is absolutely no way in hell a sunscreen should be applied before a moisturizer. Sunscreen is meant to form a film on the skin to protect you, hence the recommended 15 min dry-down time before sun exposure. Putting any product over a sunscreen will potentially decrease uv protection. If anything, there's a debate whether makeup applied last in a routine has the same risk. Which is why a lot of pros will recommend makeup containing sunscreen as well, or waiting the full 15-20 min drying time before applying makeup as to not disturb the sunscreen film underneath. This is why it's such an issue reapplying makeup/ sunscreen throughout the day.
@chloecamp87144 жыл бұрын
Most people use cosmetics with an spf & the makeup tends to sit better on moisturizer & primer. The first layer of spf is really just a back up bc it won't degrade quite as fast under all that stuff. Regardless, cosmetics themselves act as a physical uv block & is actually enough if you aren't in the sun. Obviously she's prob just promoting stuff, but it'll prob help a lot of people to dig into older studies on spf & newer ones.

I am not a vegan and my intentions are not to bother anyone but my dad is a beekeeper. I grew up with bees. It was one of the only ways he could make enough money to support his family in Uzbekistan (he was a father of 4 kids). Habits die hard and when we moved to US he continued bees on the side as a hobby. He was always very kind to bees, avoids smashing them, and keeping them healthy and well fed (even if it means moving the hives multiple times a year so they have more flowers to gather nectar from). One thing that affects bees is a tic or a mite that eats their wings. They are unable to fly and the whole hive of bees dies. The only thing that works to prevent it is an antibiotic. They also get it in the whild and die out from it. In general bees are just dying out. It's so sad. Even for those who dont eat or in any other way consume honey the pollination bees do to bring us fruit and veggies will affect our food supply. It is sad.:( but every spring my dad has to dump out more hives of dead bees that he doesnt know what they died from. Sometimes its half of his hives, sometimes it's only 2 hives. I dont think it is unethical to take honey from bees but I want to respect those who do. From my understanding once they bee hive (or tree trunk) is filled with honey and the comb is sealed the family of bees up and leaves to find a new home to fill with honey. So dad had to extract honey before they reach that point. In fact we have had bees just leave before because we didnt extract honey in time. Think of it as feeding a squirrel walnuts. No matter how many you throw at her she will hide them all. She doesn't need them all and other animals steal from her and survive the cold winter because she is so hardworking and provides for more than herself. If my dad can't extract 2x per summer he is ok with that. He makes sure bees have enough for the winter first.
@zvezdatabg4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for explaining this in such detail! I have many relatives and family friends who raise bees and it was never seen as a cruel thing to take honey from them, along with that, they maintain the hive little house too, correct? The bee keepers here make sure the bees are well fed and will survive the winter. It's So strange to me how some people who want the nature to thrive would completely forget that simple fact that the life as we know it on this earth will die off within few years after bees go extict. Yet, noone really bothers to keep the population of bees alive and healthy.. except for the beekeepers. We owe them gratitude, instead of that uneducated people spread misinformation which is doing so much harm to their jobs because if they cant sell their honey, they are unable to provide for themselves and the bees...

SO glad you mentioned the proactive thing. Coz I was like hmmmmm guess she isn’t representing that brand any more but I HIGHLY doubt she ever used it anyway. Proactive made my skin so much worse when I was younger. Wish I never touched the stuff haha

Yeah I remember wishing to be able to afford proactiv when I was in high school, now I'm glad I didn't bc I used it in my 20s, absolutely destroyed my skin barrier=more acne.

I think what most celebs do wrong is that they don't go to a dermatologist who makes a day-to-day routine for them. They can afford it, but they don't. Instead they end up throwing away money at products that literally do nothing. At the end of the day, the plastic surgeons are happy though because that just means more money to them.

The comment about diet and acne! I found out I’m lactose intolerant-I can handle eating some dairy like an ice cream treat once in a while, and Lactaid helps, but I haven’t had dairy milk in 6+ years and 90% of the time choose dairy alternatives for my diet. And I also realized that I break out less frequently! It could definitely be other factors like how my hormones figured themselves out after high school, but I’m not going back to dairy anytime soon :) I discovered your channel from the Manes by Mell Ordinary and Inkey List haircare videos and I’m now bingeing lots of your videos & I love them 😊 thank you for the reminder to reapply my SPF!!

girl i think you’re showing too much respect for her 😭 i’d be mad as hell if i was a skin care professional seeing celebrities make false advertising like this. like this is literally fooling people and pretending you’re “relatable” when the reason you have good sking is bc you have access to every expensive treatment. someone can end with their sking damaged for trying to follow their “advice” so yeah, i’d say it’s pretty upsetting.
