When I was in college, we had a stuffing-making contest one Thanksgiving. There were six entries and most of them were 'grandma's recipe' - some with sausage, some with chestnuts, or apples, or whatever. Everyone was talking up their recipes all week. We brought Stove Top. Everyone loved it - we won the contest. I would have to say I do love salt, so the fact that you find it salty doesn't surprise me. But I love Stove Top Stuffing to this day.

I LOVE stove top stuffing! I use it in several of my casseroles. What I absolutely hate is panko bread crumbs. Funny how people's tastebuds are so different. (correction…it is Pepperidge Farms herb stuffing that I use)
@eurekamarijka3 жыл бұрын
I always start with that Pepperidge Farm stuffing, such a great time saver and not too salty! I add cornbread, sausage, lots of chopped veggies. My favorite trick is to cook it in greased muffin tins so every piece has a crunchy edge! 😋

I make a very similar sauce to what you made for your lasagna. Tweaks I give it (depending on what I am using it on) are Italian Seasoning and garlic. I do it without cheese or with. When making a white pizza I omit the cheese in the sauce because I use plenty of it to top the pizza. Never did ham and chicken together in something like that, may have to give it a try.

The chicken salad casserole, we like to use a pack of that $1 Vigo saffron rice, cooked. Has salt though, so low sodium cream of chicken (or making your own with flour/butter/low sodium chk broth/milk) is probably better.
