Love this video. These boys will have wonderful memories. I will be getting this cast net. My boyfriend is retired Army 20 yrs and 2 month's mechanic and artillery. He has a bad shoulder, etc. We live off Galveston coast. So we are always fishing. We always buy bait from our locals. But there are some day's. You just gotta pull over in the spur of the moment. My first three kids were country boy raised, even though one of them was a girl, but I never appreciated how very different their life was from the fourth who was raised in a city! They are certainly different lifestyles and it definitely shows now that they are all adults! Today our youngest is in his room streaming on his computer, while the two oldest boys are in West VA rock climbing! Sadly, our daughter died when she was just 23, but she would have been on those rocks with her two brothers!

Wow I think your pond looks AWESOME!! I enjoyed seeing it from the GoPro perspective very pretty seeing all the different fish swimming around and the one that came right up to the camera was hilarious!! I think it’s great that you went exploring it shows you both that the “grass” or in this case the creek isn’t always greener on the other side. Plus it shows how blessed you are to have the creek that you have and how wonderful it is when it’s cared for and maintained. I loved the way Houston decided to just scoop the minnows up into the rocks it was like minnow here minnow everywhere but it took Dad to point it out so they could even see them! Lol! Definitely a fun adventure and it sure looked like the boys enjoyed themselves. 🥰🙏🏻🇨🇦

Maybe check buy the barn or along the porch. For the size of Gemma she is a tiger when she chases deer and such. Gr8t throw Jacobi. Would that be a white fish? I get a kick out of the bass candy. Maybe look under where you hot tub is on the deck and check the garden for the box turtle all places for hiding. Fun to play with the cast net. Earthworms are a good food to feed by hand. Wood releases tannins in the water. That’s good for the fish. The smaller minnows are called Gambusia or mosquito fish. They are a live bearer like guppies. The larger minnow could be a flat head minnow but it’s hard to tell from the video. There are lots of varieties of minnows native to Oklahoma.

the little minnow you caught at 20:50 in your video that looks like a sucker fish is called "Fallfish" (Semotilus corporalis) - Native The fallfish (Semotilus corporalis) is a North American freshwater fish, a chub in the family Cyprinidae. The fallfish is the largest minnow species native to Eastern North Americ I've been a fisherman since I was five I am now 42 years old they get to be pretty big and they also are a great fighting fish they fight much like carp do and can get to around the same size

Houston’s tank pond reminds me a little bit of the aquarium I had as a kid. I mostly had guppies N every now and then I will buy a big bag of brine shrimp to feed the guppies live food. They would go crazy eating the Brine shrimp it was great for their coloring.
