This is a musical version of the film "A Christmas Story" (1983) In Hohman, Indiana, nine-year-old Ralph "Ralphie" Parker wants only one thing for Christmas: a Red Ryder BB Gun with a compass in the stock, and "this thing which tells time" (a sundial). While using various schemes to convince his parents to get him this gift, he continually bumps into objections from others saying, "You'll shoot your eye out." . achristmasstorythemusical

msradx +Ethan Audiss It's not a mix of different songs, it's just simply not on the soundtrack. The full version is much longer as well.
@metikabegleiter17705 жыл бұрын
It’s also a somewhat different cast from the OBC because it was recorded after the 2011 tour which was before it went to broadway in 2012❤️
@zigfried646 ай бұрын
The cast recording was made based on the national tour prior to the show's Broadway opening. This number was written after the score was recorded just prior to its Broadway opening. They also completely rewrote the lyrics for Ralphie to the Rescue. This song does appear on the A Christmas Story LIVE TV soundtrack.

TrendyyWendyy It's based on the classic comedy of the same name. Google it. In short, a kid wants a BB gun for Christmas, and goes through a whole lot of trouble in an attempt to get it. His endeavors are often commented on by saying "you'll shoot your eye out."
