I am a newcomer to 'CASTLE' since 9/2012 thanks to the repeats on TNT. I really LOVE Nathan Fillion but I have say Stana Katic is extraordinary. So adorable and really adds spark with her true personality. Love how she seems to enjoy Nathan. In a perfect world Nathan and Stana would be a pair in real life. Marlowe is a genius creating this fantastic series and the writers deserve much of the credit for their wonderful absorbing stories. This has to be my favorite TV series of all time!!.

Now this explains why the show has been so adept at writing for Beckett and Castle now that they're in a relationship. I hate the tv convention that insists that drama is only created if characters in a romance are constantly kept apart. That love has to be dysfunctional to be "real". It's trite and, generally, poorly done. It also belittles romance and couples who can/do love. I applaud Marlow's creative vision on this score and others in the series. Other shows *should take notes*!

There is no moonlighting curse. There are only writers who don't know how to carry a gripping story-line after their two main actors eventually engage in a romantic relationship. The writers of Castle seem to be good enough to create a gripping and interesting enough story to hold viewer's interest long after Castle and Beckett engage romantically.

Couldn't agree more!! Moonlighting didn't end the way it did because David&Maddie got together, but because Glenn Caron left in early s5 and the other writers couldn't handle the show and the D&M storyline at all. I mean sending Maddie off to Chicago - i can understand that, given the real life circumstances. But that Annie-storyline.. pls. And sadly this is what happened to Castle/Caskett too...Bad writing killed the show. :'(

To me, I think Stana likes has a little crush on Nathan, but Nathan, he's an enigma, hard to read, but I don't think the crush is reciprocated. I know many people think they maybe had something at the start of the show and then broke up, which would fit what we see here. No, you're mixing this up. Nathan was just afraid that once Caskett gets together, the show won't be that good anymore (which wasn't the case and Nathan admittes to that himself years later) And if anyone had a crush on the other, it was 100 % Nathan. The way he looks at her and smiles at her & tries to make her laugh, he most definitely was/still is in love with her. (But I agree that Stana definitely crushed on him as well)

@@k.anderson9576 yeah, he is a really sweet guy but he was definitely in love with her! it's not just the "looks" he gives her, it's basically everything else. his body language, how he talks about her, his behavior around her, their tweets from back when the show aired, their interviews,.... oh and yeah also his totally broken heart during the season 8 filmings, when stana just ditched him for someone else (but that's another topic) anyway, if you noticed that nathan has been single for like 6 or 7 years now - it's insane because he's someone every human on this world would immediately date if they ever got the chance. so i actually think he's still not fully over her.... in an interview in 2019 he calls her lovely. and in a live stream last year, he randomly starts talking about how much fun they had on set & how amazing their 2010 comic con was... yeah also, here's what nathan said in 2010 about season three, and i quote: "season 3 is all about two people who... want to be together, but they're married to the wrong people. and i mean that is a real-life-situation" he used these exact words, now tell me how this is not about stanathan :0

My personal take on it is that even if the dance is perfected--right time, right people, slow enough--its STILL the dance. Its the same two step without variation. The problem with that is I, as a viewer, already have the blueprint for the dance. I know how it begins, progresses, and ends. Thats not innovative. Maybe its interesting enough, but thats what separates the Breaking Bads and such shows from this--those shows are working without a blueprint of what already works/already has been done
