I was looking into what I can do to control my rosacea and I decided to use red light therapy and then put castor oil on my face to go to bed…..my skin has never looked so good. I don’t think my rosacea has totally gone but it’s a vast improvement and I think an age spot on my face is beginning to fade. My face seems a lot more evenly toned, been using this combination daily for a couple of weeks.

I’ve been using castor oil on my face, neck and chest prior to going under my red light panel for 5 months now and I have noticed the pigmentation on my chest going away! I also think it has thickened & tightened my skin, especially on my neck and chest. I used the other oil that expert said she sells and it did absolutely nothing for me. So glad that castor oil works & it’s so affordable!

Great Topic Claudia. Watch Liedy, I think it’s Liedy life over 70. She is a Castor Oil Queen. She rubs it vigorously between her hands before applying to her face, and body. She swears by it. I can’t imagine using it with Red Light Therapy. Seems like it would block the benefits? Thank you Bunches. Always bringing us such great info with so much knowledge and studies. Vaseline is made from petroleum and has zero benefits for the skin. It is an occlusive, so it will trap whatever is underneath. Castor oil on the other hand has amazing health benefits. I suggest reading The Oil that Heals. It’s benefits are truly remarkable. Blessings

I knew mineral oil and UV works because thats what we all did when we were young to get dark when sun bathing, however, I put on Castor Oil mixed with Jojoba after my red light mask, which I do 2 times a week and I also use Beth's pulse red light and Green rooibos serum combined ,i.e. I put the serum on first and do that 1 or 2 times a week. Red light has helped my hyperpigmentation for sure, and I'm thinking so has the combos I mentioned. But again those are my results of using red light not a science experiment :)

Love castor oil applied over tretinoin and glycolic in the evenings. This is fascinating about the potential light absorption which makes me wonder if the RLT dosage would need to be adjusted accordingly. Also I have always been against using face oils during the daytime over a sunscreen, with concern about it breaking down the filters seeing as I use an oil cleanse to wash off the sunscreen. But if oils also potentially increase UV absorption then perhaps best to be cautious about any kind of daytime body oils as well.

I have been using castor oil on my eyelashes and eyebrows for months with absolutely none of the results most users claim. I do love using my castor oil pack as I feel that is a long time proven remedy for cleansing the liver. Lately I've also been using it on a dry patch on my scalp. I am not a huge fan of the consistency. However,I have extremely dry skin. I have been mixing a drop or two with my regular moisturizer, and that seems to work very well. I am intrigued about the use of castor oil with red light therapy, but not sure I would want to use it on a regular basis for that. I do have mild osteoarthritis in my hands, elbows, and feet. At night I have been using the oil in those areas before bed and sleeping with socks, cotton, gloves, and long sleeves. I do not have as much stiffness in the morning, plus my skin feels very hydrated. I am not still sticky and greasy in the morning, lol.

It’s definitely moved the stagnation and I love it - I also pour it into my belly button when I do my liver packs - feels so soothing. Ive got Edgar cayce’s book and he used to prescribe these, for cancer tumours and also what I’ve got (endometriosis & PCOS)… Get those great organic breast packs online LULUS Naturals - Plush Cotton Castor Oil Pack Wrap, Castor Oil Pads for Women with Fibrocystic Breasts, Skin-Friendly Reusable Breast Pads

Claudia, thank you for this video. I think until we understand more about it I think it might be a huge leap to say that because certain oils work well for certain conditions using UV light to then equate the same possible benefit to red and NIR. How do we know it’s not something about the particular wavelength of UV that is causing the benefit when it interacts with the oil rather than the fact that it’s simply “light therapy”? Red and NIR are completely different wavelengths than UV, and the different wavelengths I assume have different effects on the body. So therefore I would make the guess that possibly different wavelengths could interact differently with the chemistry of the oils. I don’t know. Just throwing that out there. 😊

Thanks for the info, Claudia. I've tried it for 2 months and have not noticed a difference in anything. My daily regimen already includes red light therapy, so I just added CO to my nightly routine. And yes, I buy the kind that everyone says (in a glass container, cold pressed, hexane free. Etc) so please don't say it's bc I didn't purchase the right kind. Also I noticed that the videos that talk about the benefits rarely have before/after photos.

Not overhyped at all! Everyone should read the book “The Oil that Heals” Castor oil is incredible and does so much more than just help out skin. It has been around for centuries, and has amazing health benefits. There are a lot of knock offs out there these days. The point is to find organic cold pressed castor oil in a brown glass bottle. Anyone getting a rash has either purchased a counterfeit product - or has other products underneath the oil that are being absorbed deeper into the skin. Castor oil is truly a miracle oil. … Blessings
