Very interesting how you work through the problem. Keep up the excellent videos.

I always loved the sound of those starters when a fork lift was cranking during a hard start!

Great informative video Jealous of the smoke machine😀 Have you found one that does not cost a lot. Also what's the digital vacuum meter called as it looks easier to read. Thanks Sean 😀

There are a lot.of cheaper.option now. There are also a lot diy videos on youtube. Just type.in digital manometer on Amazon and it will show up.

Can I apply air to the vaccume line and spray soapy water to the outside of the carb to find the vacuum leak?
@forkliftgeek102 жыл бұрын
Its possible but take note that the diaphragm inside the mixer and regulator might get damaged if you expose it to pressure above 2 psi.
@libbysworld1509 Жыл бұрын
Did you attach the manometer to both regulators or just one. Do you need to attach to both regulators.

@forkliftgeek10 Thanks, I got the same problem with my cat forklift. Gonna test with the manometer. Runs perfectly but it's a pain to get started. Especially in the cold.

I have a cat forklift just like this one in the video that also starts hard. I ordered a smoke machine to test with but the main problem it has is zero power it will not drive up the smallest grade. I lifts good and runs fine but like it won’t rap up. Bogs way down. It does get a little better when warm but not much. Any ideas ? Thanks
@forkliftgeek102 жыл бұрын
If it bogs down under a snap throttle it might be ignition related. If it bogs down even when slowly raising rpm, it might fuel delivery like a clogged filter.

@@forkliftgeek10 is there a filter on a LP system?
@forkliftgeek102 жыл бұрын
Inside the lock off there is a filter and screen
@slicksiderepairllc28222 жыл бұрын
Is the lock off the regulator between the LP tank and the carburetor? Like the regulator? If so I replaced it already.

@@forkliftgeek10 it revs fine with no load. Only bogs while in gear.

I have a Hyster H70FT that only starts if I apply a large vacuum to the MAP reference hose from the A7-242 valve, and if I disconnect the map sensor. Then it runs poorly and has a hard time to increase in RPM with no power. Any ideas what this could be? I'm getting 12 psi of LPG into the injector rail, and have spark on all cylinders.
@forkliftgeek103 жыл бұрын
Then I would suspect an excess of fuel. Does it use a gfi regulator?
@jaybray81463 жыл бұрын
@@forkliftgeek10 It uses the Impco A7-242 regulator, and I measured 12 PSI at the injector rail while cranking. I believe I have a timing issue, the GM 2.4L engines are known to have problems with the timing gear keyway. This will be my next check, thanks anyways!

Hey quick question, which version of the Pico software and which Pico hardware are you using?
