When Lindsey rescued a cat on Christmas, she didn’t expect him to love camping with her in his tiny tent. When they both moved to the city, Lindsey started taking Aries on trips… and he adored it! Now, they travel together by car, bike and plane and have hiked through parks all over the southern United States.

Firstly, I really like Lindsey's energy - such a balanced, spirited, *present person. I think her coming upon "Aries" was somewhat kismet-ish. They're so subtly compatible, and serving of the other - a vibrant, healthy, loving **team. Would love to know why she named the very beautiful black boy - "Aries?" But given the magic, generally, in their having met, their chemistry as creatures - it feels deeply appropriate. They're *both brave and into adventure. Continued joy, Lindsey and Aries! Just dynamite.

It's interesting how many of these stories are the same. I had a kitten that I adopted in the 1970's that was the same, he was like a dog, he would follow me anywhere, and if I took him to the vet, he wouldn't have to be in a cage, he would just sit next to me like a dog until it was his turn. He became like a child, and would follow me down the street to the neighbor's house, etc.

Anyone notice that black cats tend to show up the more frequently than other cats in these videos about adventurous cats? I jsut watched a video of a black cat that works at a liquor store. Before that I saw 2 black cats that like to go swimming at the beach. the only cat I've seen play fetch, was a black cat. Growing up, the smartest of our 4 cats, was our black cat, named "Middi" (for Midnight).

Yes, hiking is big here in Arizona and the Southwest. Just watch out for coyotes. We also have bobcats. It isn’t safe to have a small pet go outside unattended.
