I've often thought about becoming a Muslim as what little I know about it really intrigues me. But for some reason i feel really anxious about revealing it to people and that's what stops me. I think it's because of the bad way that Islam is portrayed to the masses. Does that make any sense at all to anyone??

So the example that he gives of the quran making him think is to tell him everything is made by god. That is the exact opposite of making someone think which makes sense as islam literally means submission. There is noting in the quran or islam in general that makes you think. Like in any other religion because if one would think one would come to conclusion that there is no god ;).

The logic used in this video is not right. Based on what can you assume that if something is there, that it has "necessarily" been created by somebody, and then you go one more step further and give that unknown creator a fancy name, namely, almighty, God, etc. You cannot make that assumption because there is no framework of thought present based on which that assumption can be made. Based on the fact that the world is there, the only thing you could say is that the world is there and I do not know how this whole thing came into being because there is no science to explain that whole thing, at least for now. These fancy ways of thinking are merely ways to convince yourself that you know and the fact of the matter is that nobody knows.
