I must say, I have watched several fishing channels over the years and yours is the only one I have stuck with. The other just don't hold my attention, but with your videos, I look forward to every episode. Keep it up!!

Took me 26 years before finally filleting a fresh caught fish. Grew up in Minnesota and only ever did catch and release due to majority of family not liking fish. Did my first catch and cook this winter ice fishing and going back to the cabin. Your videos made me really want to respect the fish I catch if it is of good quality (was a walleye, fish gold in MN), and to let the fish shine when cooked.

Another great rock video. The rock videos seem to connect with my early years of fishing. Really enjoyable. Also the danger element of getting to the rocks and being on the rocks. Appreciate the effort and the cooking ideas are a bonus. Thanks

Wow those scenes are gorgeous. I’m from the Carolina’s and I’m hoping to be flying out to SF sometime by the end of the year to travel to surrounding areas. I’ve been taking note of some of your spots to hopefully find when I go. It’s always nice getting recommendations from a local that enjoys doing/experiencing this for a living. I’m mostly excited to try some fly fishing out there to see how it differs from the mountains over here. Thanks for another great video and congrats on the land!

Man the things we do in this state to get out in nature and enjoy mild winter weather 😄 I just was out bushwhacking trying to find a path through some fenced off open space area the other weekend and about halfway through a massive cane patch of bare branches, I thought, wait a minute I’m pretty sure the only deciduous shrub around here in the coastal sage scrub is poison Ivy. And yup a few days later poison Ivy confirmed by all the rashes 😬

Love the videos of the Ca north coast. Spent a lot of time fishing same areas like this near Point Arena and Jenner. Fort Ross is another good place to fish for Cabezon. I’ve left orange painted rebar as markers and harness anchors. Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s used those for his rope. His videos are probably the best out there. Hopefully he has done enough to earn a living solely on his videos and endorsements!

The mystery fish you were catching and thought were blacks are Kelp rockfish! Otherwise known as sugarbass. They have sweet meat and look identical to blues in bodyshape. Its a good way to tell them apart by comparing Olives to Blacks and Kelps to Blues.

Hey Matts good video the fish looked awesome just a few ideas for you the hole in the brush you had to pass through have you considered doing a low crawl backwards, going butt 1st , that way the pack and rod will deflect the branches like a weedless hook? Add some leather work gloves to protect the hands. Add some pruning shears and a small saw to clear the bigger snags. ATB Spam
