You can keep chubs anywhere, I just wasn't 100% sure on the laws for using them for bait.

Please don’t release those chubs next time!!!! Cut them up and throw 3/4” chunks on a bare hook under a bobber. You won’t be able to keep the cutts and tigers off your line.

I wasnt sure on the laws for using the chubs as bait so we just threw them back, but we'll try it next time!

@@bassntroutfishing yeah you should definitely give it a shot. You can use cut bait in Utah, just no live bait. Sometimes I see frozen chubs for sale at gas stations or sporting goods stores around here too.

They stock tiny little trout lakes by airplane, and these are invasive nongame chubs anyway. And why is it a problem that we’re catching crawdads? Who cares if they’re lethargic? You probably catch lethargic fish all the time.
