This is a great video. Even though it is 2 years old I appreciate that it is still available to watch because it is very helpful. I have a 9 year old son who has played now for 2 years and he really likes playing catcher. Are there gloves you recommend for youth that are of good quality yet won’t break th bank (i.e. around $60 or less)? I was looking at the Mizuno GCX105 specifically since it is 32 inches (my son tried a 31 inch and said it felt small).

If having tight laces at the wop of the web is so important, why not re-knot them so that they don't move from the ideal position? It seems like constantly pulling the laces tight would be a chore.

Great Video! Helped me form my new mitt.

Do you have any recommendations if you bought a used glove that feel really heavy that seemed to be conditioned a lot to make it less heavy? If there’s a way to dry it out, if that’s a solution. Thank you

As you pull the top laces to make the box shape, do you move the knot closer to the mitt?

Do you retie the knots on the top of the web or just pull them tight every few pitches?

Theglovebros Okay, just wondering. I have an old Rawlings glove that lost its shape from just sitting for about 5 years. Leather is still in good condition surprisingly.

Mitts with a mesh back make me think they will hold massive amounts of dirt as my son plays. I'm hesitant to buy a mitt with mesh for my 8 yr old son. Am I wrong? Thanks

Mesh does not last long. So be advised it wont last more than a year or two of consistent usage.

NoBODY gets thst it's how ya catch...meaning are ya pincher or cupper...or do ya roll pinky, ring, and middle finger down to palm with tips first or do ya pinch with index down to thumb? I teach my kids NOT to be a thumber and let the ball close ya hand NATURALLY with its pressure...meaning CUP IT!!!
