This channel explores fishing with the same child-like glee that Anthony Bourdain explored food. It is not focused on catching the biggest fish (but still does) or being a champion angler but, instead, it hones in on all the little details that make the experience special. The sights, the sounds, the smells, the people. The things we remember. Furthermore, these videos are edited with care and attention to detail. Great channel. Great content.

Bro... your passion for fishing, just FISHIN' for whatever, is unsurpassed... Spectacular camera work, diverse locations, multiple species... you always advocate for conservation, doing things the right way, when out on guerilla sends... just so refreshing in the world of cookie cutter fishing/ outdoor content. I grew up on the Alafia River just south of Tampa, Florida. Tarpon, Snook, Reds, Bass, Mullet were our daily companions as kids, lol! I'm 64 now, but that still burns in me, everyday... keep up the incredible journeys, that take us along, to get that fix Jon... and your Maine stuff drives me crazy. My Mother in Law lives directly on the Penobscot, and I just was up there smashing the Smallies, 26 in a day and a half. River strong, snatch the rod Smallies. Then I went to my Sis in Laws at Little Sebago, and caught a 4 1/2 lb Largie off her dock...

Love casting concrete so much. Always had to drive out a good bit to fish, but it's inspired me to try the urban spots in my city. Just gotta dodge the hobos and tweakers, but there's a special allure to fishing places that are so distinctly un-wild. Like right in the heart of urban areas has an energy all of it's own.

Love that you were able to finally catch that Six Flags bass. I've always looked at those ponds wondering how big some of the bass could be since it's not over fished.

Come to Columbia SC. I have found it impossible to catch a fish without a boat. All waters are private or massive surrounded by houses and “no trespassing or fishing” signs. Real bummer. It would be interesting if you could find a way to do make it happen!

You should kayak the abandoned 6 flags. I'm from Louisiana and I was there for hurricane 🌀 Katrina and it was not fun. It was devastating and I helped people rebuild and never charged a dime. Yep everything I did was for charity rebuilding south Louisiana.

Moved away from LA last August for various reasons, mostly being so I could go to college. This makes me miss it so much. If you are still there, or going back soon, I highly recommend breaking out the kayaks and taking off to Port Sulphur. It's about an hour south of New Orleans. Put in at Bayou Log Cabins. Clay is a good dude, and will help put you on fish if you ask nicely

Man I love videos like these. Exploring and fishing! My sister is going to college in Arkansas so when we visit the change from Texas is tremendous. I only knew bobber and worm for fishing but when I went there and after some trials, I got my biggest fish ever. Since then I haven't stopped exploring and expanding my knowledge and arsenal!! So I recommend going to Arkansas.

Try fishing good old Michigan, from the Great Lakes to the little ponds and creeks, the upper and lower peninsulas. I'm convinced we have it all. Walleye, Bass both large and small (even good Rock bass), Perch, Northern Pike, Musky, and so much more. We are a state that is no stranger to big fish. Yet we are a state that doesn't get the recondition it deservers in the fishing community. So what do you say, toss your hat in the water, get your hands a little dirty, and catch some big fish.

Louisiana is the sportsman’s paradise for a reason. The fishing and hunting is out of this world. If you wanted to, you could get a duck hunt in the morning, fish during the day, and hop in the deer stand in the evening all in one day, and stay in the same area.
