Thanks very much for posting your videos, I really enjoy every one. And I know there's all kinds of great ways to cook fish, but frying them in beer batter is my favorite. My 2nd favorite is breading them in Kellogg's corn flake crumbs, simply dip in egg wash, coat them with the crumbs, fry them up in oil, or if you have it, bacon grease. It's great. I learned that from a guide in Canada, that's how he cooked walleye for shore lunch and it was amazing. He'd cook 2 lbs of bacon in a huge steel skillet, pass out the bacon as an appetizer, then fry the walleye we just caught in the bacon fat. Take care my friend, wishing you tight lines and blue skies.

Rod if you're reading this: The oil can be reused several times by filtering it. To filter, use a cheese cloth and when the oil is still warm, pour in a jar or heavy-duty bottle, then keep in a cool place or the fridge. Depending on how much you're frying, I'd say you can reuse filtered oil up to 5-7 times.

Greeting from Spain. I really like your videos. It would be good and interesting, that when you make a recipe with such a good look, you put the development of it in writing, please. Because they are also different culinary techniques to enjoy fishing, even if we have some different species. Another suggestion is that you provide us with the equipment you use; clothing, characteristics of rods, reels, lures, etc. And give you, once again, congratulations on the videos and editing of them. Thank you so much. Greetings from Spain, waiting for your next video.

It's probably been said before, but I'll say it here: This channel appeals to me because it's family friendly and Rod is so down to earth. Also, a big factor is that he's living my dream. I had a fantasy about moving my family to a coastal town in Northern California and doing some subsistence farming and fishing during my free time. But ended up moving farther from the sea, so living vicariously through these vids. It's something I feel safe watching while my kids or on their devices--but I know they're listening because kids multi-task, except when you're trying to teach them something during homeschooling. By the way, one of his videos says he and his wife are recently unemployed due to C19. I'm wondering about sending him and his family some love. How do I do that? (I don't need another t-shirt. lol) Edit: Just sent my montly Patreon support.
