Cate exudes a freedom of spirit that we love. It is a combination of grace, self respect, and humor. She is beautiful in an almost tomboyish way....meaning that she's ok with making fun of herself sometimes. Men want a woman that can throw on cutoff shorts and have a beer at a BBQ, but still be the soft woman that gives us someone to protect. Hope that helps :)

Can someone please tell me why she did not win back inn 99? I was so freaking pissed when horse face Palrow won over her. yes, I remember one year at the academy awards, they showed a video piece about the oscars and how they are solid gold and weigh almost 8 pounds. it was like a video following the oscars, from the time they get made to the time they arrive at the kodak theatre, and about how they are always surrounded by insane amounts of security. but yea I remember clearly the part that said they were solid gold

well...I don't think it matters really if she were drunk or not (although how many glasses of champagne can you have between the acceptance speech and the press conference?) I am happy that you met her, I met her as well in '99 in London when she was doing Plenty and had a 10 minute enlightening conversation about theatre with her. I don't consider myself a "mate" though. She is very easy to talk to and such a delightful person. I LOVE Cate!
