@@tomsawyer247 Indeed, I would have to agree with you Sir. I've used the 336FL model and a few 352's but, the technology changes very quick in this type of equipment. These NEWER models are as smooth as butter, even with less horsepower compared to some of the older ones.😆🤣😂

In time some hydraulic that is gathered on the stick in some instances depending on the outside temperature and what your excavating. It will tend to gather around the boom arm. No big deal. It just shows that the machine is a reliable beast. You don't clean or repair those beasts unless it's a must.

Why are the boom cylinders on larger mining excavators inverted unlike smaller construction excavators?

Not completely sure but I think it’s so all the hydraulics can be routed up the boom instead of the boom cylinder lines going to the foot of the boom, because on larger machines the boom cylinders are further from the valve bank so it is simpler connections for the same functionality
