Hi Simon, only QR can answer your question about why the Q suites are more private than their first class product. Have you seen my Q suite review?

Q suites are in all of the A350-1000s and they're in the process of upgrading the 777 and A350-900s to the Q Suite, although it's currently just the luck of the draw :)

Wow Paul, this video is awesome. I am amazed at the quality of Qatar Airways First Class. I love the colour scheme, the space, ambience, the bed, service and food. And drink. What's not to like ?! I have never flown with Qatar Airways. I would love to fly with Qatar on one of there longest routes. By all accounts it would be an experience I would never forget especially in the premium cabins. Thanks for producing such a wonderful video with excellent footage and commentary. I am sure you made one viewer very happy indeed with a complimentary Qatar Airways amenity kit. This is one awesome airline that does everything with such panache.

Paul Stewart you can, but sometimes you don't want the heaviness of a moisturiser, plus it's handier to just spray. Now, if you REALLY want to hydrate your skin, you mist, then before it completely dries, you seal it in with a moisturiser. 😊

Loved this review. I can clearly see the difference between the QSuite which I love. Wider space, moveable tray, dining for two and the extra bit of fluff on the slippers, as well a more expensive choice of champagne. Otherwise - if you're price sensitive, I would advise staying in business class and choosing an aircraft with the QSuite. Putting out into the universe that I'll make the comparison for myself though. Great video :)

Hello Paul I have been watching your videos for a while now and thought I should subscribe. As a frequent traveller I could not agree more that Qatar First Class has an issue with no Overhead storage bins and in addition the lack of privacy. I have always travelled In Business with them and found the window seats and menu not too far away from their first class product. I believe business is better value for money in my honest opinion. looking forward to your next review. # Amenitkit

What a marvellous trip report. I do envy you! It all looked amazing especially with your tour of the shower room and all that lovely food and wine in the fc lounge....what a lounge eh? How do you keep your slim figure? On to the actual flight. It’s as if you never left the ground what with those lovely amenities, superb meals and some glorious wines. Pjs are de riguer with me as I always feel more comfortable in them rather than my street clothes. That shot of you falling asleep looked very cozy and luxurious. Thanks Paul, interesting to compare this to Emirates offer in this class. I flew the A380 SYD-BKK First Class in February 2017. While the "lounge experience" for Qatar passengers at their hub is amazing, like so many non Australian carriers, the local lounges are adequate but not exciting. I do think having seen your video here that I would still prefer Emirates, Etihad is an unknown quantity! The complete privacy afforded by the Emirates "suite" is, I believe, its biggest advantage over this Qatar product. Plus the on board shower is really welcome and makes for a terrific in-flight experience. Also, storage is superior overall on Emirates. The bar is amazing too, but Qatar seems to also offer a very good bar product. I enjoy your videos very much. Happy flying!

Yes storage in the EK suites (the older one, I haven't tried the new 777 one) is fantastic and the privacy is vastly superior although I'd usually keep the doors a little open during meal time so that the crew could see me. The onboard shower is probably a little mixed. The reality is that, and other than the novelty, it's not a great shower and the argument by a lot of airlines is that an arrivals lounge is actually far better. And I think that's a reasonable argument. Qatar bar is better than EK bar IMO. But yeh, the storage really was crap. It's better in the Qantas 787 business seats...

It reads "Vedages Tardives", but it should read correctly "Vendanges Tardives" (the "n"'s are missing -- even the menu has a typo and missing an "n"). I flew business class VIE-DOH and DOH-PER and I must say that this First class looks just the same as business class on the 787 and 773ER with the Q suites.
