This trip report recorded my another premium economy class flight experience on Cathay Pacific, from Manchester to Hong Kong, onboard one of their Airbus A350-900. Since this is a westbound flight, the overall flight time will be a bit shorter by comparing with the opposite direction.
Cathay Pacific's Premium Economy Class seat is one of the best offerings among all airlines with such class. The seat is absolutely comfortable and have a generous recline space. The hot towel and welcoming drink are also nice gestures before the flight departs.
Yet, the catering itself and its timing for service may hinder the overall experience. In my opinion, the food itself are a too salty but it depends on different people's preferences, so not much to be blamed with. Other than that, the timing for presenting the second meal was a bit awkward. I am not sure whether it is the approach to maximize crew's rest time or not, the second meal service started at the middle of the flight, in which the first meal service just finished around 2-3hours before.
To sum up, the overall experience is nice, the inflight service level is quite consistent by comparing with my flight to Dubai, with the same product. If there is another chance, I would definitely fly on Cathay A350's Premium Economy class again ^^

I tried Cathay Pacific premium economy class on 77W in 2017 to from Hong Kong to Vancouver. Recently, I watched several videos on KZbin and found that the catering services improved a lot. Back in 2017, the entree of the first meal was from the business in economy container while the second meal was economy. But now, it seems that the entrees of the 2 meals were from business. Some videos showed that Cathay served egg tarts as snacks.

With more airlines improved their inflight offerings (for both soft and hard product), I believe Cathay should also elevate their service standard to retain their customer, especially for the premium passengers (since most of the economy passengers are more price-sensitive). As heard from you, indeed their offerings improved a lot! I also saw them using egg tarts as advertisement contents at major cross harbour tunnels in Hong Kong!

the front seat rows have good and bads at same time,there isn't people infront of you that recline,extra leg room but the tv might be a bit too far

@@EdinTse and also on some flights,the tv are either on the wall and maybe like pulls out that have like slower react speed or requires remote.Traveling with a partner in prem econ would be really worth on a day flight as more legroom,leg rest and also 2-4-2 seating plan

Hi Raghavs Lounge access does not provide to premium economy passengers on Cathay's flights. However, if you hold a OneWorld Frequent Flyer Status that is equivalent to Sapphire or above, you are eligible to access the lounge. Hope this clarifies :)

Is 30 A a good seat to sit in premium economy ? I always sit in 31 H but good legroom but sometimes person reclines tv too close to my face . Wondering if 30 A any good even though tv insanity too far away but more legroom.

hi Edward I would say 30A should be a better seat in my perspective as legroom is more important to me. I do not mind the TV would be a bit farther than other seats, as long as I can watch the movies clearly. Thanks for watching!

Flying again in December flying PEY, asked the CX team to see if they can request 30AC for me and my friend to sit in instead of seat 31AC. I like more leg room instead. Hopefully I can get the seat upon check in at airport and onboard without being removed .

They have now changed flight time in winter at 10.25 am departure and arrive at 7am HK time . Summer time departure time is 11.25 am arrival to Hong Kong 6.45 am HK time.
