Thanks for the ideas on how to use the Cathe Holden papers. I used a couple in my last journal, I used one to cover a CD envelope and I don’t remember what I use the other one for. I have my Christmas one coming up soon and I only had one idea for a paper but now you gave me a couple more ideas. You know I was thinking, I know that’s dangerous, a lot of people say they don’t buy digitals because they have no way to print them and there’s two beautiful journals that you just put together without using any digitals at all. This is a video to remember to point people to when they say they can’t use digital‘s. Have a great trip tomorrow.

Hi Gayle. I check in with you everyday. You have been an inspiration since 2020 when I began my handmade journal journey. I have heard you share about your retreats and how you enjoy them. Today you mentioned your subscribers retreat that you are planning for next year. Although I would not request to attend this retreat as a subscriber, I felt that this really would not be open to subscriber. It seems that it should be referred to as your VIP retreat.

The folks that come are subscribers. They attend on a first come first served basis. I’ll announce here if I have openings next year. Most of the ladies that attended this year want to come back, but there are always conflicts that arise, so openings will likely occur. ❤️

you mention slow stitching in this video and how it hurts your hand. i have watched you design your slow stich backgrounds in other videos and notice you treat fabric like you do paper in your collage. this is perfectly fine from a design point of view, but every additional layer makes it harder for the needle to pierce and the thread to pull thru. i don't know whether you could face going back in when the design is finished and pinned and cut away some of the covered up fabric. could be a fiddly process and you do sometimes call yourself impatient, but if it meant less risk of a sore wrist and thumb it might be worth doing?
