36 years ago , I am 41, remember it like it was yesterday. My mother took me to see this and rented it so many times. She passed away on the 9th. This would of been an epic reunion to go see it with her. RIP Mom, I love you.

Same. I would give anything to be able to see this in the theater with my folks again. It was hard to make my dad laugh, but Beetlejuice had them both in stitches. I'm so sorry for your loss. That grief can feel bottomless, but time helps. I very much hope the new Beetlejuice makes you as happy as the first one did.💜

God that scene brings back memories. It was Me, my brother, 5 of our neighborhood kids, and my moms brstfriends 4 kids all learned this scene one day. Ill never forget it lol it was a Friday afternoon, and we practiced and practiced till we got it right. We were all 6-8 yrs old. That night we had the parents sit and watch us perform it. We had a blast and after doing it for all our parents, we kept doing it over and over and we would all just bust up laughing like it was the funniest thing ever. Man I'd give anything to be young again. I can't WAIT for this sequel to come out. I just wish my brother was still here to see it with me. 😢

I was a young girl when Beetlejuice first came out and as a 45yr old woman I can admit it is STILL one of my favorite movies....and I'm so excited to see the Beetlejuice 2....but honestly, I definitely do not think it will be as good as the first!! Of course Michael Keaton is a very talented & handsome man who is now in his early 70's...but while watching the new trailers, I've noticed his Beetlejuices voice is DEFINITELY NOT like it used to be....I would have loved to see Gina Davis return in this film (and I guess Baldwin even though I'm not a fan of his anymore) but there was an article somewhere where she had said "ghosts do not get old!!" And she's definitely right about that!! But she STILL looks FANTASTIC!!😉 And as for the funeral part, I do believe it most likely is for Mr Deetz..... I'm sure they were definitely NOT going to hire Jeffery Jones after he was caught trying to get an underaged boy to pose naked for him!! Which he is now on the "Registered Sex Offenders" list!!!😡😮

Though I've been a fan of Catherine's since 1988, I still love her the most as Moira from Schitt's Creek and I am constantly listening to hear any little bit of Moira in Catherine's voice during interviews -- despite Moira having a truly unrecognizable accent that is bizarre and nothing like how Catherine actually speaks. I've freeze framed the casket scene the best I could. I couldn't tell if it was Jeffrey Jones' character or not. But with Delia being a sculptor, I have no doubt she created the tombstone.

No please no. It's bad enough that this film is going to be full of nostalgia call backs to the original. We don't need an inferior copy of one of the most iconic performances in film history. 'Day 'O' will be best used in a way that is unique to this film. I don't want to see a bunch of moments from the original recreated. If I want to see those moments, I'll watch the original. Nostalgia is the reason this film is going to do well on opening weekend. I've seen enough to tell me that it is not going to leave a lasting impression beyond that.
