@KEPLER - 666 Anakin was not a child, he was a adult doing his own choices. Yes, all this people have their fault on what happened, but the biggest fault is on Anakin shoulders. He decided to go against what he were taught. He decided to hide his relationship with Padmé (and childs), even from Obi-wan. He decided to attack Mace Windu and help Palpatine based on a lie about helping Padmé. If Anakin had told Obi-wan about Padmé, the pregnancy and his visions about her death, he could have had help from him.
@Fishmorph2 жыл бұрын
@KEPLER - 666 Anakin was responsible for his own choices. True, he was in a situation not of his own making, but that excuse would apply to everyone. None of us makes the world that we live in. Besides, it would be a very poor story where Anakin was simply the victim of everyone else's choices and had no personal agency. He had agency and he used it, and did a lot of terrible things that didn't have to happen.

I think when Vader says "you did not kill Anakin, I did" it was Anakin's final goodbye to his master, the final thing he could give Obi-Wan before his hate consumed him. The way the blue and red light reflects off of him shows his conflict, then when he says "I did" his face becomes lit entirely in red. He made this choice, and he wants Obi-Wan to know that. His act to his master was basically saying "it is not your fault, its mine." Which allows Obi-Wan to let go. "Vader" is a name Obi-Wan associates with his failures, and since Anakin allows him to be free of that guilt, Obi-Wan calls him "Darth," its unpersonal, with no relation to anything because it's just a title.
@CatherineLaSalle2 жыл бұрын
The "Darth" was so savage and sad....he has no identity left. Just Darth

I still don't understand why Vader/Anakin would want Kenobi to suffer any less. I believe that he lessens the burden that Kenobi feels when he tells him that directly, and I feel like Vader would be wise enough, to know that it's his advantage for Kenobi to be as weak as he is; When he feels guilty and in the wrong while fighting.
@chazo13672 жыл бұрын

@@CatherineLaSalle I love how they included that, since it shows how he completely disconnects Darth Vader from Anakin as two entirely separate people, and ties in perfectly with why he refers to him as just “Darth” in A New Hope. I remember hearing long before this show that one of Obi-Wan's greatest regrets was that, when Anakin was burning on Mustafar, he couldn't bring himself to finish him off. He didn't expect Anakin to survive the immolation, and he couldn't bring himself to deliver the merciful strike, so he left Anakin to burn to death instead. Don't You understand how this entire story and especially last fight mess up characters of Vader and Kenobi🤣 So 1) Vader was able to read in Reva mind who she is and what she want but he didn't find out that Luc and Leia are his kids🤣 2) Kenobi who didn't even hold lightsaber in hand for last 10 years suddenly get God mode and beat Vader who was able to stop spaceship with force only🤣 3) Let's get to most important fact. Vader lost, Kenobi could have kill him and stop Hi rain of terror plus ensure safety for Luc and Leia, plus take from emperor his best weapon. But he just go away (say whaaaaa). He knew that Vader will still hunt other Jedi, he knew as long as Vader live Luc and Leia are in danger, he should expected Vader will hunt him still and he just say bye bye and just go🤣🤣 Well yeah, a lot of logical stuff here. Not even mention things like Reva who survived been stabbed with 2 lightsabers at once or Palpatine who just say,, yeah Vader, screw the fact that one of most important jedi masters are still free, just let it bee,, 😂 This entire show was made so logically and well fitted to story of SW like the trilogy with Rey Palpatine😂😂 So yeah ,, Hello There!,, 😂

I literally just discovered you on the video "Fans React to Obi-Wan Kenobi S1 E6," where the part of this video when Obi-Wan and Anakin fought was being shown, and I just had to come watch the full version. I absolutely love how emotional you allow yourself to be watching this. Firstly, I now know that I'm not crazy (lol. Secondly, we're all taught to hold back our outward emotional reactions to a movie, a book, or just moving moments of life in general, but that just makes us suppress parts of ourselves, and it's great to see a public figure being not afraid to be herself and feel the way she does. Lastly, someone else wrote this in the video I mentioned earlier, you have a way of reacting that's super contagious. When the dialogue was happening between Anakin and Obi-Wan, and during those moments of cheering on Obi-Wan and seeing Qui-Gon, I was both experiencing the scenes in my own way, but could almost feel what that scene was like for you. That felt like those great moments in movie theaters on premiere night, when people around you feel comfortable enough to completely let it all out, and it's great to be a part of it. Long story short, you're a badass gem, keep doing what you do, and thanks for the video! - M x

The way Anakin refuses to accept that he's at least partially a result of Obi-Wan's choices was heartbreaking man. Obi-Wan probably spent the majority of the last 10 years thinking about how he could have done better for Anakin, been less demanding, been more accepting of his relationship with Padme, been more understanding of his emotional outbursts. He knows he failed and Vader is the result, but he's still tortured by it. MAN this one hit me.

The blue glow on Anikans face that slowly turns red as they give their performances was perfect. Vader high grounding Obi-Wan was awesome. The series wasn't perfect but there's nothing outrageous that ruins anything. It makes me appreciate the prequels even more. I don't like that reva is out there knowing what she knows now but whatever. I just need more Vader and Hayden under the helmet. Vader can’t stand what Kenobi did to him, but he will always be his master and he will always have respect for him. And when Kenobi is around, that light side comes out so much that even Vader can’t resist.

I think the "I am not your failure obi-wan" line is more Anakins closure, he accepts what he has done to himself and thats the rage and hatred that fuels him to push on. This finale was beautiful. Such a heartbreaking scene when Obi Wan comes to the realization that Anakin is dead. It was the closure that Obi Wan needed and in some ways Vader as well, as to what truly happened in "Anakins" death. In the end it was Anakins choice fueled by his hatred and Palpatines deception which allowed the persona of Vader to take over. It brought all the characters full circle and allowed us to see what journey lies ahead for them. Whoever directed/produced this finale is who we need for the next SW trilogy. I can relate to your reaction. The Anakin Obi Wan conversation and Qui Gon brought tears to my eyes. This episode and the Luke Skywalker cameo in the Mandalorian were the only times Star Wars has really made me emotional in years. It's always great to have these moments.

Leia's theme. Dear lord, I'm a grown man and it makes me weep like a child. It never did that until Carrie Fisher passed away and now, every time I hear it, I think of her and what a force she was.

This episode was so beautiful. Me being an OG EU fan that dropped the series after Disney's acquisition. Having some friends that got me to watch Obi-Wan with them every week, Obi-Wan's goodbye to Leia got them to see me ugly cry. I'm right there with you Cat. This miniseries felt so much like Star Wars should; flaws, glory and all.

Just a thought that might throw everyone into a deep depression, but what if Anakin's yell for Obi Wan after the fight was a desperate cry for help to not be left by him again.
@K.C.C.L2 жыл бұрын
I actually thinks he is more upset Obi Wan didnt kill him. Obi Wan left him for dead the first time. But this time he spared him. Makes it harder for Vader/Annakin to rationalize his hate. This time Vader wont have closure. Just like Obi Wan hasnt had closure all this time.

You can see the genuine pain in OB1-Wan's eyes when he sees Anakins face and extent of his injuries. Also for a moment when Anakin says i am not your failure you can see for a moment Anakin belies he failed OB1-Wan.

If there is ever a season 2, they must incorporate som Legends lore in that season. They should introduce A'Sharad Hett as the antagonist hunting Kenobi.

16:24 honestly, the most distressing part of this bit is seeing that massive diamond ring on your finger 😍. But, seriously, what wonderful raw emotion for what has already become one of the top moments in the entire saga, movies, books, tv series, the lot of it; a few tears escaped for me as well. Certainly, for younger fans, Ep6 of Kenobi will be the equivalent of the cathartic conclusion in ROTJ for the original fans in the 80s.

Hayden and Ewan were amazing in this as well!! just stuffed pack with prequel love, and of course, hello there with the toy ship. oh, how can I forget little Leia!! She is wonderful!!! Overall, a really good series with more positives then negatives Anyways, I hope you are doing well and may the force be with you p.s. when obi-wan says may the force be with you to leia. is that the first he says since he last said to it Anakin before leaving to utapau?!?!?
