I literally just ran across this video by chance, or so I thought. Little did I know that thirty some odd years ago that when I washed your feet that God would use it for such great blessings. I had no idea that you ever even thought of me again after our last meeting, but look what God did! I am so grateful to God for your conversion, Dan, and for all the hearts and souls you have touched in your many years of ministry. Your willingness to share your heart like this is beautiful and has touched my heart so deeply. You must have known that I was shaking in my boots every time you did a drive-by, but God had a much greater a plan for us both. I hope that sometime our paths will cross again and this time I will get the hug I always wanted. Welcome home my Catholic brother!❤

But what is “ being good “ anyway? If you don’t know right from wrong and need a God or religion to teach you right from wrong then you can’t be a good person, I have always known right from wrong instinctively I’ve never had anything to do with religion, I just naturally know what’s right and what’s wrong I didn’t need a God or a bible to teach me that, if you can’t see what’s right and wrong without any help then there is something wrong with you, what’s wrong should be obvious, I know right from wrong which is why I can safely say I am not a sinner and I do not need a saviour, the cross is just an excuse for people to keep living in sin, they think because of the cross that they can just sin as much as they want and every time they do it they will be forgiven if they just confess it, jesus himself is a sinner, because it is a sin to want to save the sinner and it is a sin to forgive sin, if you need forgiveness it means you have to have done something unforgivable thus to forgive a sinner is a sin in itself, I’m not taking about simply just overlooking little thing’s people have done to piss you off, I’m talking about forgiving someone who has sinned, that’s why I know I’m a good person, because I could never forgive someone who has sinned, it is wrong to want to save the sinners that is why Jesus is a sinner himself, those that are not sinners are those that don’t need help from a religion to know right from wrong.

@@Notarabbit911 Not everyone is religious.?! That`s good news. And nor am i religious, nor was i ever religious. And nor do i follow or believe in a religion. All religions are masons made up stories, just to keep mankind confused and busy believing all kinds of nonsenses, the most is known, that into heaven goes many ways, That is masons lie. Only through the ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD, CHRIST - can we go into heaven. But there is few buts: Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. That verse sifts out the lukewarm christians, who proudly scream out and letting others know they believe, yet they do not do so in their hearts. Christians = saved souls, who go and sins no more and until their deaths or the returning of CHRIST, are all doing daily the will of GOD: KEEP PREACH WATCH EXPOSE + being daily in a battle agents his own flesh. For every Christian must walk after the SPIRIT and not after the flesh: Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 8:4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For no Christian are called to just believe but to be also a doer of THE WORD :James 1:23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: These are the 2 buts. Again i say, it is good news that you, dear soul, are not religious. And if we`d be to take a Christianity as a religion, then no soul be saved for real and Christ either died in vain or not at all -- that is a lie, stating that Christianity is a religion and not a reality is a lie. For it is a fact that no religion saves. Christianity do saves, for no soul becomes a Christian, until he have gotten saved, called upon the name of the lord, which proofed the needed faith to be there.

@@Notarabbit911 In the book of genesis, God warned Adam and Eve not to eat the fruit from the tree of Knowledge. That is, once you eat it, you will know what's right and wrong. But the snake tempted them to eat it so that they too can become like God, to be able to know what's right and wrong. You see, adam and eve were blessed with grace. They were nude but were not ashamed because God made them wonderfully and it was good, until they ate the forbidden fruit they started to get embarrassed and cover themselves because their now know what's right n wrong and that being nude infront of others is inappropriate. What God wants from them was to trust in God words even if they don't understand why God forbade them to eat that one specific fruits. It's called fate and obediences. What a beautiful testimony, that moved me to tears🙏 Im a man living in Denmark, a protestantic country. I have for years been more interested in reading the scriptures, but i always had trouble with these fearful obnoxious evangelist. And i troubled understand, why most people around the world, would go to hell, just because they aren't Christians. So i have been into new age bs on an off. Last year my mother died, a horribly dead, the doctor eased her pain, by giving her morphine each hour😥 My mom waa sick for years, probably because on of my big sisters died in the year 2000, of alcohol/drug abuse, that broke my mom. Now all my family are gone, except my son, and my other big sister, that turned her back on me afterwards. I didn't really found any comforting in the Danish churches. One month ago, felt drawn to catholic church, and found one in Copenhagen. Very beautiful church. I have also participated in my first catholic mess. I reached out to a catholic priest, connected to that church, he is not danish. A very humble, caring and holy man. I have now meet him two times. I asked him, if it was possible for me, as a non catholic to make a confession to him, and he promised to get back to me, after asking the bishop. He did, so Tuesday this week, i had my first confession, and i felt truly touched by it, also by his blessing afterwards. I definitely begin feel drawn to the catholic church. It have something that the protestantic church don't have. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen✝️

I have recently embraced regular confession upon finding a home in a Traditional Latin Mass parish. This was after several years in a no mans land of various Catholic parishes, liturgies, and pastors. I am a convert of 49 years from Protestantism, converting during the tumultuous days after Vatican II when so much of our catechesis, in particular confession, was fraught with misunderstanding. Our “conscience” as to what was a sin combined with saying (what the priest or choir used to say/sing)The Confiteor during mass, seemed the appropriate response for most Catholics. I certainly never saw lines like I do now! And I never heard the priests decry from the pulpit the lack of penitents either! Confession is so humbling, It is helping me to break down my pride, my judgement of others, my hardness of heart so that I can love my Lord with all my heart and soul, present myself worthily to receive the Holy Eucharist, and adore my neighbor as myself. It is has been a difficult process but I believe I am making amends. Good speed to you on your journey in the one true Roman Catholic faith 🙏🏻 I love it so ❤

I will continue visit the catholic church, lit candles for my mom, father and sister, and have further conversation with the priest. Its also new for me, to pray to the holy mother Mary. I'm use to only pray to God and Jesus. I try to learn The priest said, he said he was a Franciscaner, I had to Google it. I have for years dealt with guilt, and shame, and always beating my self up, for the wrong doings or people I have hurt, and also with grief. So it is a very humbling and liberating experience to confess. Something I will do many times to pouring out all the things I have done wrong. For now I have only participated in 1 mess. I remember just finishing reading Interior Castle by Teresa of Avila and I randomly signed up for an Avila Foundation webinar I saw in our church bulletin. This was during the whole Covid experience so this was a very spiritually dynamic time in my life and Dan Burke was a part of that for me. I even read one of his books in jail. This speech will definitely go down as one of my most memorable moments from him. So powerful, I was misty eyed through the whole thing. Today was such a grace filled day, starting with morning prayer, Mass , this speech, and I just got home from a presentation on the Resurrection by one of my favorite priests. @@stjoseph01 not sure about the poster but I’ve noticed with a lot of Catholics and Christian’s in general - they/we proselytise rather than evangelise with love. No one will listen to someone who wants to talk to/down to them where no love is there nor is there someone willing to sit and just listen to you. Where as true evangelising is what you talked about - love at its core, someone in love who will listen to you and what is going on and who will then implement the Gospels into that with love.

Just like Saint Paul said, they will know we are Christians by our love. There's just way too much hatred among people these days. Jesus Christ said, those who give mercy will be shown mercy. Jesus Christ shows us a unbelievable amount of compassion to everyone he meets. Regardless, if they hate him or are nailing him to a cross. He prayed for those people who nailed him to a cross. He loved the people who were trying to kill him, so much that he prayed for their souls. That is an amazing example of how he wants us to be like. No greater love, than for a man to lay down his life for another. God bless thank you for sharing. 🕊️

Thank you for sharing this most profound talk that I am certain I was required to hear!! After being betrayed by many during a season of providing countless acts of service, I put away my service chops!! Instead, I focused on prayer, reading the Bible and going to Confession. I'm being led back to service kicking and screaming because when I do it's always for people who can't wait to exploit me. The love gig through acts of service is quite daunting a challenge!!! Supremely grateful to have heard this talk!!!

I think the secret is in knowing and embracing the reality that when we are betrayed, we are nearer to Jesus and thus can join with Him in His suffering for the soul who betrays us. There is no more powerful prayer than the prayer that emerges from these wounds.

I've watched this video a couple of times and I will continue to come back to it when I need to hear it. I was raised in a very abusive household. My father left my mother when I was 7. But it was my mother who is the abuser. I begged my father to take me away from her. He took my brother but he left me. Telling me that no court in the world would give him custody of a little girl over her mother I was a daddy's girl. He saved me from my mother every night when he came home. The abuse would stop. She abused my dad instead. She cheated and did horrible things to my bother and myself. And let others as well. The only thing good she ever did for me. Was after doing a bunch of seances and we had all kinds of crazy spiritual activity going on in our house. She took advice from a friend to bring in a priest to bless and cleanse our apartment. For about a year-and-a-half after I got to go to church and was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic Church age 14. I didn't appreciate it then I was so damaged. But after my mother had an affair with the priest, he wanted to marry my mother. He told her my confession. She beat me so horribly that the words of the prayer and praise book that she used imprinted on my skin. I ran away was put into protective custody, and eventually foster care for a brief stint. I begged my father once again to come and get me. But he refused. The priest was excommunicated and we left the church and went back to being pagan. I felt worthless and unloved, with no one I could trust. Now here I am 40 some-odd years later. I have reverted back to Catholicism. My grandson helped me believe it or not. And now I'm doing my best to walk the path and live the life. It's not easy and a family of atheist and pagans. And I feel so horrible for not raising my children in the faith. I Wanted to be June Cleaver. The mother I never had. I did my best but I did it without God. I pray every day for forgiveness and guidance to right the wrongs I have done to my children. I don't know if it will work. My daughter doesn't speak to me but my son lives next door and lets me home school and watch my four grandchildren. So I'm raising them in the faith. Trying to be a good influence on my son through silence and example. This video helps so much. Thank you. I'm Sorry for rambling on and exposing my life to strangers. But I felt I needed to. I really have no one else to talk to. So thank you again. I believe this finding video was an answer to a prayer.

This was such a beautiful testimony. God's providence didn't have me at my dad's bedside since it happened quite suddenly. But I had entrusted him to a divine mercy shrine with a network of people joining St Faustina with each hour of the day covered. I also entrusted him to St Joseph and our Lady and to Venerable Matt Talbott. Who else would I rather be at his side in that moment than his guardian angel, St Faustina, Ven Talbot, and the Holy Family? Still, I gain so much joy from hearing testimonies like this. Please say a prayer for Stephen's soul if you read this.

Thank you, Mr. Dan Burke, for your very inspiring conversion stories. I listened to your story on the Journey Home years ago, but this recent one is so moving that I feel compelled to go to confession, something i have neglected to do for over four years now. And the first sin I should confess is my failure to truly love - to put God first in all I do and to love others, particularly those who may not be so "fragrant" to me. I realize that I should redirect my energies to living this great commandment of love - something that I have neglected because I have given more time to counting and recounting the struggles that go with aging (I'm 76). Yes, if I am unable to truly love, then I should not claim to be a Christian or a Catholic. In the end, our entry into heaven will depend on how truly we have lived with love.

Thank you for your testimony. Truly. One of things I’ve been struggling with the most is trying to evangelize. I kept thinking that I’d have to make a grandiose statement as to proclaiming the word, but I had forgotten how to love first. I was moved to tears by the scripture at the end, I pray God gives me the grace to love even an Infinitismal fraction of how he loves. So I can help lead more to him. bless you in the name of the father, son, and the Holy Ghost from a Catholic just beginning his journey.

Loving others is the ideal and best path But sometimes in evangelization if your trying to reach a large amount of people in public it may not be possible to really interact much with others. Like when there is a billboard in public, it reaches many & influences some, & its effective. At the same time there is no love involved. In some evangelization it's about spreading seeds of faith & encouragement in a world that is spreading seeds of temptation, doubt, hatred to the most amount of people. If you would be interested in this type of evangelization, to reach as many people with seeds of faith to then come to God, then simply reply back :)

Best talk I have heard in a very long time...! Every Catholic needs to hear this, because it is absolutely true. We need to KNOW Jesus and let His love transform OUR hearts first before we evangelize the truth with words and logic etc. Even if it is to a person who does NOT have a big wall up - they still need to feel our love and respect first- ! All men are created majestically by God....

@stjoseph01 Жыл бұрын
It is harder with family because we think we know what is happening in the hearts of those close to us. The greatest mistake is to assume they are actually converted and expect them to act that way. If they don't act converted, they are not converted.

Sometimes family members can be difficult to deal with because they don't hide their feelings and can sometimes be rude or there can be a strange feeling of some competition of who is right. But the best way I find is to be patient and watching to not offend the other person. And if some family members seem like they just want to argue about most things then avoid hot topics & try being polite at all times.
