Love your work. So, I know many priests and theologians always caveat this teaching, as you did ever briefly, to also include 'at our own death' when we as individuals come before Jesus, our own apocalypse. But why when you, priests... continue to preach this do we Emphasize about something that is far off that people can't relate to? If it was stressed to everyone that this is the coming of Christ at your death,soon, then it would place a lot of emphasis on that teaching to be prepared now, now, not "forget about it and don't worry because it's something in the future?"

No, what it would mean as a part of a sermon on his part in that letter, Sir, is that he is saying that knowing when the 2nd Coming of Christ is going to happen is none of our concern... indeed, even Christ Himself, as God, said that He doesn't even know when the world will end, but only God the Father does. So really: he is saying that that particular knowledge is not important, but what clearly *is* of vital importance is living a holy life instead.

@@marievalerie5617 Yep, and one previous Pope when told that Christ was coming back really soon, he said "Quick, everyone, look busy." or something to that effect. And yes, when the boss is coming around in the workplace, he wants to catch you doing the work you're paid to do. So really, wondering when the end of time comes is basically pretty close to an occult use of the bible- thus a complete abuse of the whole message at that. Don't do it. Best solution if you find it is in any way even the slightest temptation is to shred the bible and burn the shreds... as then sacred scripture is poison to your salvation. That really doesn't apply to me, and I don't think it applies to ye, but to those who're tempted like how St. Paul seems to be correcting as a bishop, that would work. Worst case if someone does that is they'd be asked at the end of their life why they chose that solution, upon it coming out why, they'd be inducted into Paradise for rejecting idolatry.

The theme to take away from the teachings on the so-called, and dare I correctly refer to it, the *myth* of the end-times, is that you must prepare for hard times while the times are good- lest they turn bad really quickly and catch you unawares. Really: any prophises, including and absolutely containing public revelation, not to mention any and all private revelation, falls immediately and forever into the forbidden category of the *occult* and is banned from passing before any Catholic's eyes... yes that certainly does include the biblical books on the end times at that too as forbidden for the safety of our own souls... same with prohibiting wisely at that any books of sorcery, so is all revelation; including happily all biblical revelation at that too- forever! Will the Earth end? Yes, absolutely, when? No-one knows... and frankly, it is none of our darn business... but even the so-called "word of God" is prohibited from entry into our heads due to it being rooted in the *occult* of all things: hidden things, and thus forbidden things. We are far better off completely locking out the entire next life altogether- forever- lest we fall into spiritual sin, due to the wording of the Catechism of the Catholic Church- thanks be to You, Christ, for by prohibiting all study of the occult You have rightly banned forever all revelations from even being listened to, and thus commanded the extermination of all clerics in the process by that one teaching of Yours. And yes, that is a prayer, the only kind I am capable of making, ever, thanks be to God for His teachings prohibiting any respect or any contact at all to/with any spirit at all, including God Himself for He is a spirit, and thus to be eradicated along with the rest of those scum to begin with!
