The reason why Christian music is always about glorifying God and loving him is because... That's the whole point. To worship God and adore him. Nothing else. It is a form of worship.

@makor95106 жыл бұрын
It's been over a year, so this is probably futility. But felt like it needed context. Chick-fil-a was famous for supporting anti-lgbt legislation. Though they do have some good food, their stances are eh. But that's politics. 1. Marriage equality. I've had my issues with this in this case. Governmental contract marriage is not holy matrimony no matter what people say. It's two different things. Give unto Ceaser. 2. Allowing LGBT members to work is not a religious thing. Giving them a job is not condoning their actions, it's treating them as a human. Yet Chick-fil-a along with others was willing to punish lgbt with unemployment and homelessness similar to the beast of wear my mark or else. So I have my misgivings there. As for the answers I don't know I'm a little iffy. Like the one girl who said love is about taking sand out of someone's hand. I don't think it's the way they believe. You see the issue is while she takes the sand away she goes back to drinking her straight mercury. So the whole issue goes back to take care of the beam in your eye, before you talk about the speck in another persons. Also there are Christians even in this video comments claiming to know what sins, and what amount of time of said sin will send a person to hell. In all honesty we don't know. We don't have the answer. Until the person stands before the judgment hall. We won't know if his/her actions will send them to hell. The most we got to go on, is be a good person and ask for forgiveness. Not really much else. Homosexuality is in the same category as wearing two different fabrics or eating shellfish. So if lgbt is going to hell, than everyone who ate shellfish or is wearing cloth of two fabrics is going to hell as well. Hence Judge not lest ye be judge the same. We don't know if that person is going to hell. But sadly there are Christians who act as if they are God themselves with their judgement. But I'm a deist so, different settings.

wow, this video started to impress me then totally let me down. instead of explaining their thoughts and feelings on the topics brought to their attention, some of those people decided to insult the buzzfeed members. No, buzzfeed members aren't idiots or stupid. They are just speaking about their thoughts, just because they are different, does not mean we get to insult them. A point in which I could say to the young man with the silver ear buds.
@jfrontier18 жыл бұрын
What I think the young lady meant when she asked "why are Christians known for what they hate rather than our acts of love" is not the meaning of love but the rather sanctimonious nature of some peoples "love". Sadly enough, many Christians today do not have any interest in correcting someone else but merely pointing out someone else's sin while puffing themselves up and calling attention to their own glory instead of God's (at least in the churches where I live). Correcting someone does not mean you are sinless, better than someone else or get to proclaim your own self-righteousness and superiority over all others, it should mean you want what is best for other people, as God wants what is best for us all. I disliked the video because I do not think you had a good sense of where these kids were coming from in some of their questions/responses. I think some of their responses were fine, some were odd but in all walks of life, some people are fine and others are odd. Why feel the need to make this video in the first place?
@bammbamm128 жыл бұрын
+jfrontier1 - The question contained a false premise. Secondly, she's only talking about sex, but she clouds her real question in a large generalization. What she's really driving at is, "Why do Christians hate women by not allowing them abortions? Why do they hate gays by telling them it's immoral? (et cetera). They wouldn't say we "hate" thieves, or people who don't keep holy on the sabbath, or people who covet their neighbor's goods. So the question has to be untangled before it can be answered.

Christians get the idea from the Bible, where the Apostle Paul, also called Saint Paul, gives advice to churches on how to handle things that are against God's will for humanity. Those things are called sin. I'm guessing that you know the definition of sin, but I just wanted to be clear on what the Bible and every Christian who is rooted in Christ agrees on. Paul calls for two things. First, he asks that Christians be graceful to other believers, because everyone is equally sinful and dead because of their sins. No one deserves anything from God. Everyone is given what they have because God is gracious and gives even though we don't deserve it. Everyone is equal before God in this respect. The second thing Paul asks is that we try our best to be holy, out of love for God and one another. Jesus himself called for this first, actually, in the Gospels. This is not because we think God will love us more (He can't love us more than He already does- infinitely!). We want this because it is just good. God wants us to, as a loving father, be better children. He doesn't get anything out of it. God just wants us to be good. When we do, we will be living as part of God's Divine Plan. He has a place for us and a job for us- a place that we'll be perfect for. With all this in mind, I don't know why we wouldn't tell people about their sin. To not tell someone- to let them live in pain and alienation from God- is to hate them. There is nothing loving about it.

+hannah grimm It isn't okay to do a lot of things. And yet a large part of the Christian community specifically targets people who have sex outside of marriage or people who are gay or whatever. A lot of Christians get so offended over things that have to do with sex when there are plenty of other things that are also "bad". I'd much prefer to live in a world where Christians spread love instead of hate over people making mistakes or doing something that is "bad".

Why didn’t you go to the question that ask about why some Christians are judgmental to people who aren’t the same religion

I'm not trying to be offensive, because I am looking into being Catholic, but when the chick said "Have you read Song of Solomon?" and everyone said "Have you read Theology of the Body?" and I just thought "Have you read The 95 Theses?"

I love how the people asking the questions end up pointing fingers so much more at themselves. Judging is a very necessary thing in the church, but only when it is done righteously, "I say this to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you, not even one, who will be able to judge between his brethren?" (I Corinthians 6:5 NKJV), "For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside? But those who are outside God judges. Therefore “put away from yourselves the evil person.”" (I Corinthians 5:12-13 NKJV)

Hello, does anyone not realize what someone said at 6:13 ? SAYS ITS THE INDIA OF TODAY? First of all, India has about 31,242,629 Christians. Don't mislead people.

+George Pottanat Apologies from the person who said it. I had just finished reading my history homework about the conversion of India by the Jesuits, so it was the first thing that came into my head when I thought of "place where people needed Jesus in the past and got Him."
